Hello fellow Watchmen fans.Am new here :D I wanted to express my concerns with the Watchmen movie. Now I have seen the trailer whichwas great and addicting might I add.My big concerns are with Ozymandias and Silk Spectre and let me start by Ozymandias.

My coplaint with Ozy is his costume. Its terrible, just look at this.

My God! Thats the costume I have ever seen.It doesnt even look like the comic. It even has nipples on the costume thats right NIPPLES! What was Zack Snyder thinking.Wow Batman & Robin flash back.

Now with the Silk Spectre, its not the costume I am worried about but the actress playing Silk Spectre,Malin Akerman. She is a terrible actress. She aint as worse Megan Fox (Megan Fox is the worst actress in hollywood ever) but she is bad.

Those are my gripes with Watchmn movie other than that it looks great.

If you look at armour from around the time of Alexander the Great, it kind of looks like this. With fake musles and nipples and all. Google it. I didn't like it at first but it grew on me. Someone else has brought up the deconstruction aspect of Batman and Robin.

MaliN Akerman might not be bright, but in all honesty, Silk Spectre 2 wasn't all that bright either. She was kind of ditzy, angry and hot. So it's not a stretch. And Malin seems to come off as those, or at least can. And Megan Fox may be the worst actress in Hollywood but she is SMOKING hot. I usually hate dumb actresses too, but she's just beyond hot. So she is forgiven.

I think they also chose Malin Akerman because she really looks like Laurie, especially the eyes.

Guys, it's too late. I hate to break it to you all, but Malin Akerman has that role. It's been shot, printed and wrapped.

And what does any of that have to do with the costumes, anyhow?

That's like saying "What was Snyder thinking giving Rorschach that costume? It makes him look like a psychopath who would go around beaking fingers for information." Duh, that's the point.

The Batman & Robin reference is 100% intentional. Veidt is a sellout. He used his superhero fame to make toys and perfume and build a billion dollar company. It's no secret that Warner Bros told Joel Schumacher to make "Batman & Robin" as toy-adaptable as possible. Watchmen is a commentary on superhero movies, and the Batman & Robin reference is both intentional and appropriate.

Ozy's costume was one of my favorite costumes in the movie.

I just bought the Ozy action figure. In addition to referencing "Batman & Robin," I think the costume is also supposed to make him look like some kind of self-proclaimed emporer. Crown and all. Veidt essentially appoints himself the watchman over world peace when he decides he has the right to decide the fate of millions.

Ozy has become my favorite costume in the movie.

I don't understand how some people still fail to "get" Ozymandas' costume after all this time.

Some proof that the costumes in Watchmen can be made at home:

Check out the League of Heroes costume forum. There are some there who have molded the Nite Owl suit, etc.

It's a hell of a lot better than the comic version (though wow, is the movie version hard to draw).
