Of course the crescendo for this particular sublplot comes in the final chapter where Laurie points a pistol at Veidt and with masscara in place of a scar , tells Adrian he's an asshole.

Anyone got a scan of this please?

Wow, that now definitely one of my favourite panels. I always like it because Laurie spoke the absolute truth about Adrian.

A question related to this that I've always wondered, I never thought the Comedian had enough time to get Silk Spectre pregnant when he was raping her. Or is it implied he had sex with her before the rape or since?

It happened long after the *attempted* rape scene.

About 9 years to be exact. I'll get a scan of the panels that explain it in a second.

EDIT: or more...

After. At the end of the GN when Laurie reveals to Sally that she knows who her father is, Sally confesses that Blake visited her later "in the summer" (or something to that effect.)

Another example is in Laurie's flashback to the party with Blake, where Blake responds that he forced Sally to have sex against her will "only once". Laurie, of course, misinterprets this, but what Blake meant was that there was a second, consensual time.

That would be great, thanks.

The argument that young Laurie overhears between her mother and stepfather at IX.7, in particular the comments made in panels 1 and 4, is also another reference to Sally's later liaison with Blake.

I have a friend who is reading Watchmen and she just found out that Laurie is the Comedians Daughter, and she was off the entire day, stunned by that twist, I said wait until the end of Chapter 11 and Chapter 12

She has similarities to Eddie and it is actually funny, if you think about how much she hated him before she knew he was her father...well I don´t think she particulary likes him after..."Poor Eddie"...Okay now I sound like Sally. :P

Well, she inherited her capacity for hate from him, so it's no surprise she hated him, two similar personalities like that are never going to mesh.
