Watchmen has the same quality as a book, as it's heralded as being the first graphic novel.

Watchmen is not the First Graphic Novel, I have never heard it called the first, the BEST, but not the first. I believe the first was A Contract with God by Will Eisner, and that was in the 40's, It beat Watchmen by a long shot...

I notice a lot of cool quotes and i want to know what everyone else thinks is the best one

Here are some of mine

The Comedian:Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the Comedian is the only thing that makes sense.(hence the username)

Doc Manhattan:We're all puppets, Laurie. I'm just a puppet who can see the strings.(actually kinda depressing)

Indeed, we have two threads where the "Best Quote" topic could have fit. There's the "favorite" quotation thread and there's the "funniest" quotation page. The former was selected for the merge. The latter can be found here.

Rorschach- Their is good and there is evil, and evil must be punished. Even in the face of armageddon.

I like these two.

"None of you understand. I'm not locked up in here with you. You're locked up in here with me"

"It was Kovacs who closed his eyes. It was Rorschach who opened them again."

Mine's a tie...

"Once you realize what a joke everything is, being a Comedian is the only thing that makes sense."

"Never. Not even in the face of Armageddon. Never Compromise."

"All the whores and politicians will look up and shout, "Save us!" And I'll look down and whisper: No."

"DROP THAT CAN YA LITTLE FREAK!"

Oh, Eddie...you're the one in the gimp mask, silly man.

Hooded Justice's line to Eddie always puts a smile on my face.

"You vicious little son of a bitch..."

I wonder if he talks like that to Nelly... ;)

Dear lord, that's awful! You have officially become my favorite person on this site!

I like the Pagliacci joke, "I did it thirty-five minutes ago", and This little jem:

"It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. It's us. Only us."

That and my life motto is pretty much "Once you see how much of a joke everything is being the Comedian's the only thing makes sense."

I've always liked Rorschach's line right before heading out into the Antarctic.

Dan: "Uh...are you sure I can't fit you out in something a little warmer?"

Rorschach: "Fine like this." *tips fedora*

:D

I understand that perfectly. I believe hereing sanity confirmation come from the same guy who said "If you piss out the flames after lighting the car on fire, insurence will pay you more!" is a little discouraging.

Ha! Though, I can sense Curi and the others will soon be post warnings to newbies to not encourage my antics. Save it for the PMs.
