Well, the end kind of seems like there might be children down the way a bit for Dan and Laurie, who knows though

Dan I could see as a Dad.... But Laurie? Ehhh, not as sure on that one. >.> I'm not too fond of her. XD

I couldn't see Laurie as a dad either.

I think she'd be a good mother, because she'd try hard to not be her mother

She strikes me as a bit selfish to be a mother.

Honestly if she and Dan had a kid Dan would do better to assume the motherly role. He's more patient, more understanding, and more mature.

I agree about Dan being more of the mother, but I think once Laurie found out she's pregnant she would change for the better

XD

Take this from a mom... Trying to change after you're pregnant is not a good idea. From the start it takes a degree of selflessness to be a good parent, but Laurie is very stubborn and I don't see her as seeing her behavior as wrong. I don't doubt she'd try, but I don't know if she'd be able to easily be able to put aside her wants and desires to focus on a baby.

I just doubt her and Dan would try until they were both ready anyways

Hmmm...

I'm not sure, she was born is 1949, which means that she's nearing her fourties by the time her and Dan hook up. Not only does that make it unlike that she'd mature, but it's a bit old for a woman to get pregnant in that time before fertility drugs.

Editted: For math fail. XD

But, remember that Dr. M changed the whole game, they might have had fertility drugs... or sleeping with an H-bomb might have made her very fertile

How would that work? XD

I suppose it's true that they might have different medicines, but it still doesn't change the fact that by her mid thirties Laurie's personality is pretty well set. If she and Dan ever have a child I definately see her as more the "Father" role and Dan as the "Mother"

Yeah... I suppose, but they are fictional so it doesn't really matter

-Snicker-

I think we can pretty well assume Dr Manhattan can't have a human child. So to mess with Laurie's hormones long term to make her more fertile ((Aware or not))... What would be the point? XD

Dan would probably not want to be a father.
and being a daddy means hanging up the cape and cowl...
we all know what that does to him. *snicker*
Laurie would have an effin meltdown if she had to deal with a kid.
I'd much rather see them babysit Rorschach's 'adopted' kid, then realize "HELL NO!"

why not? dan hinted at the suggestion, whereas laurie states that she wanted to do more crimefighting before settling down for having children. so the two are obviously all for it.

i don't think laurie would be any worse of a mum than sally was. in fact the kid would probably be spoiled with laurie reliving her childhood vicariously through the kid,

Yeah, I guess didn't flesh it out when I said "she would try not to be her mom" but this is what I meant, where Laurie would ben dover bakwards to make sure her daughter is growing up like a normal child
