Who, and how was the first watchmen hero brutally or maybe mysteriously murdered.
Give me your thoughts and opinions.

He dissapeared. The badly decomposed body (tentatively identified, mind you) of one circus strongman named Rolf Müller was found on the shore near Boston around the time HJ disappeared. Hollis Mason conjectures Müller was HJ. That's what we can glean from Under the Hood.

Eddie Blake is the prime suspect, the settling an old score. Anything else is pure conjecture.

That's right. If my memory serves me right, there was something written in "Under the Hood" about how supposedly The Comedian "looked" into HJ's disappearance. . .

That would've been an awesome fight.

Sure it might have been a real good fight, if the wrestler theory is true than that means blake must have fought dirty because that strongman found in boston was shot in the head.

I would certainly guess it was Blake who killed him. There was already tension there regarding personal relationships plus Blakes lack of morals and doing anything for money.

I imagine that HJ was killed by Blake similar to the way Ozzie killed Blake. Cycle of violence.

I don't know, perhaps Blake just walked up to him and shot him. HJ had already spanked Blake before, maybe Eddie didn't want to risk losing again? Or maybe he delighted in taking the chance to get his revenge over HJ......

Veidt said that he was beaten up by Blake when he was searching the mystery behind HJ's death. Blake blocked Veidt's investigation because he was the real killer.

Maybe Veidt was the killer, and told the story in a way that would lead you to the conclusion that Blake was the killer.

Veidt is a notorious liar, after all.

No, I'm kidding. You're right.

Hooded Justice was working out at the circus, and the Seal Boy was spotting him. Blake lured the kid away with a fish while HJ was pumping iron, and then, when HJ yelled, "Spotensie!" Blake said, "The joke is on you, sucker!" and pushed down on the bar so that it squashed HJ fatally.
