My high school had a graphic novel section, but I don't think that I ever read any of them. I was going to read Maus, but then I just bought it myself only to never get around to reading it...

And I haven't even looked at the graphic novels in my university library. I should really do that sometime.

My college has a large amount of Alan Moore's work in the philosophy secton of all things, aside from the arts and literature sections. Also found (un-Moore related) Walking Dead in there just this morning, as well as the GN version of Shutter Island.

My school (a catholic school) had Maus in our WWII/Bio section. I think that was the only GN they had during my time

Actually, now that I think about it, how come Preacher isn't on that list? Or The Boys?

That's kinda funny. At my Catholic high school they prominently featured Watchmen.

Why do you guys highlight the fact you went to catholic schools? Is there any reason a catholic school wouldn't have Watchmen or Maus?

Religious people take everything way too personally perhaps ?

That, and both Watchmen and Maus are very violent.

Fun fact: Not all religious people are alike.

Indeed they aren't, but you really can't be surprised that a catholic school would outright ban comics like Watchmen and Maus.
