I'm almost out of ideas for content sections on the site. I would like to hear form all of you since you are serious fans of Watchmen. Obviously, once the PR wagon gets moving on the film at WB, there will be lots more stuff on the movie to post, but let's get some ideas going.

Here are a few ideas of mine that you can comment on. If you have links to certain items, just email them to me so we don't clutter the thread up with links.

If you have any other ideas that are not listed below, post those too. Thanks.

    1. Fanart Gallery - Illustrations, drawings, and good photoshop manips that are all Watchmen related
    2. Analyses, Commentaries and Reviews - Essays, reviews, analytical papers on Watchmen
    3. Expanded Cast Pages - A page for each cast member with more detailed bios, credits, and my editorial on how they rate for the part they've been cast in.
    4. Watchmen Character Bios - Images, bios and famous quotes or Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan, etc.
    5. Subplot Summaries - Like the plot summary, but for Black Freighter, The Bernards, Dr. Long, etc.
    6. Editorials - Lots of you are articulate and are never short on opinions. I'd like to have an editorial section to post articles that you guys write on Watchmen related topics. Any volunteers?

I think there should be something on this site in memoriam of the 20+ years this movie has spent in development hell. The Hamm and Hayter drafts were a good start, but how about interviews with Gilliam and Greengrass? The old concept sketches of Doc Manhattan?

I know that Wikipedia has a decent history of the long journey this adaptation has taken, but if we're wanting so badly for stuff to do, why not put together our own account of what happened?

That's a good idea.

Great ideas, D.C. and C Inc.

Maybe a list of countries where Watchmen has been translated and published? DC-comics should know this, but I haven't seen one.
I'll try and get a swedish edition, or an image of one if needed. It's called Watchmen, so they didn't translate the title.

I know I have seen the Annotated Watchmen a couple of places on the net, there are also some philosophy papers on it.

Do you think you could add this content?

Something that would be cool, but incredibly reliant on the constant supervision and updating of its members would be a sort-of Watchmen-pedia. Like a comprehensive Wikipedia site devoted entirely to Watchmen (sort-of like Lostpedia.com). I guess that's the point of this website...okay, just disregard this post...No seriously though I think individual character pages would be nice in addition to a small Watchmen trivia page.

I know it's a bit gimmicky, but how about a countdown timer toward the movie's release? You know, get the "watch" motif in there?

I'm thinking about expanding the cast section next. I wanted to have the index page look like the plot summary index page. Have a thumbnail for each cast member, and then give each cast member their own page expanding on the bios, putting a more complete list of their credits, and then maybe have a small photo gallery for them below (later when images of them in costume come out these photos would be more relevent, but for now it would just be a half dozen extra shots of them.)

Any thoughts? Any other ideas? Thanks.

Watchmen in perspective.

Showing "our favourite GN", along with some other classic titles. This would help any non-comic reading visitor to get a picture of the width and depth of the medium.
