Whoa I just jumped to this page and I forgot what I wrote. Yes that is indeed an appropriate reaction for a person accusing you of being a Twilight liker. Twilker? Hmm.
We all know you don't really like Twilight.

That kind of depends if you're already in a relationship or not. If you say it to a stranger or someone you don't know that well then yeah..that's creepy. Of course, I have no idea what context it was used in but I'm sure it was a creepy one if it's Twilight. I personally prefer the gender-switch on the character-watches-unsuspecting-lover-sleep in Paranormal Activity. It would be a hell of a lot creepier if a chick was watching a guy sleep. That would border on Fatal Attraction-creepy. With Twilight, it appears that this is what girls want, judging by the enormous number of fangirls. I've tried to read Twilight (part of my brain died and now I can't remember half of my childhood) and was forced to watch the movie with my mother because she "didn't want to suffer alone". On both accounts, I can say that wouldn't want anyone watching me sleep. Anytime I think of the very idea, I recall that creepy fuck from Phantasm: Anyway, It's over! I actually made it! It was a total pile of shit. Not as bad as I expected to be honest, but still horrendous. Acting was terrible, writing was terrible, dialogue was awful, cinematography was crappy, effects sucked, etc. I'll give it a 3/10 simply because one of Bella's friends was kind of hot. Actually, I'll give it a 2. She was a bit too skinny. Forgive me for saying this, but I think I may want to see the sequels, just to see how much worse this crap ca get. My entire thoughts of this crap is summed up with this ---> I agree. And one of the Cullen girls is fucking beautiful. Not to mention that there are nude photos of her from some random men magazine.

Inevitably, Twilight came up at lunch in school. I remained quiet while friends babbled on about homgR-Pattz and I actually heard one of them say, "Yeah, Stephanie Meyer's actually a really good writer. The books are really well written, y'know?"
I tried to stay calm.
Later in the conversation, I brought up Watchmen. No one was interested. No, scratch that, one person said "Oh yeah, that was that crap superhero thing. Yeah, that was shit." FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-- I await Curi's use of that "DIE!!!" image.
Well done to diego for watching under your own free will.

Seriously, I've resigned myself to the fact that there are far too many of these idiots for my comfort. No use getting worked up over it. I just have to go about my day and trust that the Twilight fanbase's average IQ of "brick" will be their undoing. Besides, I already have to look after one group of fans with questionable mental health. Why do I need another one that's even worse?

Well done to diego for watching under your own free will. one of my friends believes that the movie is shit, but the books are well written. it sparked a mini-Facebook spout. and diego wasn't the first to do that...

Later in the conversation, I brought up Watchmen. No one was interested. No, scratch that, one person said "Oh yeah, that was that crap superhero thing. Yeah, that was shit." I know that. Since "New Moon" is coming closer everybody keeps talking about Twilight - movie and books. At university and at work it goes "AAAWWWW November 26th is coming, I CAN'T wait to see this movie. Twilight is SO amazing! Bella and Edward 4 evaaaaaaa!!!" Then they're talking how wonderful the books are *sigh* I read the books too out of curiosity. I think No.1 was okay. No.2 was still alright, but heading into a strange direction. No.3 was like 'Wtf did I just read?!' and No.4 was...disturbing. Now I wish I had just read a summary on Wiki... The movie was...well, let's just say I'm glad I didn't spend any money on cinema tickets. And when I'm trying to talk about Watchmen (or other stuff not involving sparkling vampires) I'm always getting those strange looks...like "Oh, wow. Where did that freak come from?.."

Arnold really doesn't like Twilight does he? WJK, I'm sorry, I can't fathom why people like it so much. Why'd ya do it?! *Not in any way implying that you enjoyed it.* monkey_monkey I feel the same way. I picked up her other book at the airport to read the blurb, and it's basically the same as Twilight only with different characters. I think it's called The Host. So when I was back at school my friend was of course reading it. I was reading a frickin doorstop of a book about the Vietnam war and she......asked what that was all about. I make my friends seem like idiots don't I? Do people think the whole Twilight mania will die down once the films are finished?

Why did I do it? I wanted to see what the hype was all about. I'm still in therapy.

You poor thing. It was forced upon me in my social education class at the end of term. Even the teacher was swooning over Robert fucking Pattinson.

Do people think the whole Twilight mania will die down once the films are finished? The Harry Potter mania died a long time ago, people just don't want to admit it because the movies are still coming out, so i think that it'll happen sooner with Twilight. Then again, the room for comparison is very little, since the Harry Potter series is actually good.

Amen to that. It is impossible to vocalise my love for the Potter series. Love it the same amount as Watchmen.
I'm getting sick of every non-specific forum getting bombarded by girls using the caps lock to show how much they enjoy Twilight and other Twilight related subjects. Especially when the thread your on at the time is about bongos. o__O
