Good luck.

If she turns me down, I'll just be like "Oh well!" and then ask Stephanie out the next day.

There's the spirit!

Go you well, amigo.

Question: When asking a girl on a date, is it frowned upon to actually use the word, "date"?

I wouldn't know.........Mal ?

Though it shouldn't really matter, you can tell fifty girls in a row "I want to have sex with you right now".

As long as you say it confidently, one of those girls will grab you and take you to the closes empty bed.

If in a club, late in the night, with booze flowing freely, yeah. Outside of these conditions, your statistics are too optimistic bro

I come from a pretty liberal country, these statistics, applied with your conditions, reduce it to 1 out of 20

In the end Godziller, it's not about looks, it's about attitude.

It's an inconsequential detail in the grand scheme of............asking chicks out.

Okay, that's what I thought might be the case.

No... why would it be? If you say date, there's no question that you want your time together to be more than just as friends.

One of my favorite tactics is to say that you're going someplace at a particular time -- like you just decided to treat yourself to dinner someplace -- and invite her to come along. Speaking of which, I have a few updates...

Turns out that the girl I went out with earlier -- we'll call her Amber for sake of convenience -- just started work on an indie movie. As such, her schedule just became so crammed that our second date is put on indefinite hold.

On a totally unrelated note, the sample photos on her charity site went live a few days ago. Her current campaign is ending on the 22nd, so donate to a charity this Earth Day and send her some receipts!

Anyway, I gave my drumline friend -- we'll call her Cindy -- the go-ahead to tell me more about the girl she's trying to hook me up with. And wouldn't you know it, we just played a bar gig tonight so we could talk about it over drinks. Cindy's friend -- we'll call her Beth -- is actually Cindy's roommate. She's been described as a very smart girl, a total doll, a cat person, and a computer ace. So far, so good.

She's been described as a beer drinker, and I know several places in Portland to take a beer drinker, despite not being one myself. Now all I have to do is introduce myself, and I'm hoping Cindy will help with that. Facebook may also help too. More as it develops.

EDIT: Just looked up Beth's Facebook profile. Yeah, she's cute.

Okay, guys, I need a bit of advice here.

Beth just accepted my friend request on Facebook. I've got my foot in the door. Now what?

Why ME? My advice isn't all that good!

I'd say stalk the hell out of her Facebook so you have a broad portrait of her painted in your mind, and then chat her up on Facebook messenger. Maybe send her a message greeting her and thanking her for accepting your request. It can be kinda awkward to just start liking and commenting on things in her world, since you're not really a part of it yet. But Facebook is your window, your open door through which you glimpse her and take your first steps toward reaching her.

So I'd ask Sierra on a date, but it'd be awkward to do while in a group of people.

My hands are tied otherwise.
