Also, her name's Sierra.

Alright, lesson time. You asked her out and she said no... are you any further behind than when you didn't ask her? You'll get turned down, but it's okay. I know you're not a sports guy, but you'll miss 100% of all shots you don't take. Take some time, and ask out Stephanie.

Yeah, I felt a lot better after I asked her out. I didn't actually care that she turned me down, I was just glad I could muster the courage to do it.

So yeah, maybe I'll ask Stephanie out sometime. I just need to take some time to relax first. Maybe I'll talk with her on facebook some here and there and take my chance when I see her at school.

And I do appreciate that Spider-man image. But it makes me weep manly tears for Ultimate Peter Parker.

I have sort of a rule that whether it's on Facebook or Texting, that if someone doesn't reply to a message after an hour, I don't talk to that person again until 15 days or so have passed. With that said, if a girl doesn't answer on Facebook or her messages are kind of weird and stilted because she seems to be log on through her phone and talking to other people (and that's complicated to do) and tends to leave your conversations hanging, should I try calling her on the phone more often if I rarely do it? Should I break my rule with her?

that's kind of harsh, what if they are asleep, or left themselves logged in but aren't actually there or their phone has died or just don't notice the message/text or something?

Well, I figure that if they want to get back at me, they will. I'm just trying to avoid a habit I have/had or seeming too needy.

Good rule, still, there's a reason why we as men don't give our phone numbers, we ask them because then we can take control, and women like that as well.

And if this is that very..........attractive...........chick that co-starred in your short film, then good luck :P !

Not so much, she's very hot and you were in close proximity to her, men will be men

I think you should give her a call, I don't think it's needy to call a girl for the first time.

Well, I've done that before. But it's mostly been "business calls" :P

Nice :) !

Shouldn't it be easier in this case ? Since you've called her before ?

Still, I'm willing to bet on Avatar's point, she might've fallen asleep and then forgot to answer your message, or something else, it has happened before, if it makes you feel more comfortable, you could probably call her in a couple of days.

Well, I think it's more a question of how often I should call her or how long should I wait in case she didn't reply to a message or something like that.

I think, in this case, we must look to the movie Swingers for some wisdom: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aN4w2AfkEY

But, if you get her answering machine, try to leave just one number, and now several, like Mike does from this clip from the movie Swingers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0PUrNwvvBk

On a side note, how awesome was Swingers?

2nd clip...I know how that feels.
Both scenes inform me I should have seen "Swingers" a long time ago.

Anyway, something happened today that is the kind of situation I hate running into. I do Tech Support sometimes at work, and this young woman approached our desk. My coworker had to run on an errand so I stayed with her. Sometimes the printers from the computer labs are occupied so we let them use ours. Well, this was one of those cases. The girl wanted to print a diploma she had gotten that accredited her as capable of giving First Aid and CPR to someone. I printed it out for her and she was really happy about it. I congratulated her and we shook hands and introduced ourselves, but only that. She was pretty and had a manner to her that I liked (And well, learning something like First Aid or CPR also gives her a few humanitarian points in my book). The thing is I probably won't see her again.

On another kind of related note, one of the girls I was thinking of courting because she was single again...well, it looks like she isn't. In less than a month she has gotten involved with another guy. Either I move too slow or she moves fast. Or maybe she was seeing this guy behind her ex's back. I don't know why I feel it would explain why I felt she was acting overprotective of her relationship.
