Longmont. That's about 20 minutes or so north of Boulder.

Cool. I'm in Grand Junction, but I may be going to CU Boulder to study film.

NICE.

If you wind up there, I have to highly recommend the campus International Film Series (it is so good and it's free to film students, too, so that's bonus boners for you).

First of all, this is some outstanding variety here. Very nice.

The lighting effects are outstanding on that first one and made all the more powerful by its black and white palette.

I think the second one would have been more effective as a chalk sidewalk drawing, but the colors are very nice. The bubble sheen is particularly impressive.

The idea behind the third one is very effective, but it needs more intimacy to truly work. More detail would have helped a lot.

I've traded cordial PMs with Fahnette on the matter, and I personally think that a new thread should be started on the subject of artistic dance.

Drawing and dancing are both totally different media with unlimited potential for discussion and expression. To that end, I feel that both subjects need their own threads to truly breathe.

I'm grateful for the consideration, and very appreciative of the sentiment.
Here's a teaser:

That's true, but again, people should feel free to post links to videos, photography etc. in this thread. But I agree, dance is vast and deserves its own thread.

Thanks for sharing these pieces. Very nice work. While I liked both, and think you met the challenge of stipple work with both precision and pith, I have to say that the first piece was my favorite. Very powerful. Very affecting. You have a wonderful grasp of composition that flatters rather than ignores human anatomy.

Really beautiful work. I hope you'll share more.

What Vynson meant:

Quote:
I want to see you naked.

I've seen naked women before. And really, once you've seen one naked woman...

...you really want to see the rest of them.

I was looking over some of my photography from the past few years and thought that, due to boredom, I'd post some stuff here and see what you guys think. Oh and I apologize for gratuitous use of B&W.

NOTE: I DO NOT HAVE A PROFESSIONAL CAMERA!!! So don't expect wicked HQ pics. These photos have been taken using two different cameras - a Kodak EasyShot (I forget which kind, but it was only a 6.0 megapix from about 2005 or so; which is what most of these are taken with this) and a Canon PowerShot SD800 IS (2007).

PLACEBO : Fall '06 - Summer '07
I have way too many of these guys, so I'll just post the ones that aren't totally laughable. Oh, and I'm sorry but I have these watermarked.
Virgin Megastore (1) - Tinley Park, Chicago (3) - Warfield Theater, San Francisco (6)

San Francisco
Pier 39/Alcatraz - Golden Gate Bridge - Japanese Tea Garden (last 3)
