I've been having trouble with my wireless router for a while now, but it's really becoming a problem. It hasn't been working for months and I think I accidentally threw out the box and the instruction manual. It appears to be hooked up correctly and there are some flashing doo dads on it too so it looks operational. And it is, in the sense that it's successfully streaming internet access to my computer, but the problem is that it doesn't seem to send out any signals and my laptop can't pick it up as a wi-fi connector as a result. So I was just wondering if any of you could steer me in the right direction to correcting the problem.

I'm only computer savvy compared to 50 year olds.

All technology hates me, and is out to get me, despite my love for it. So, sorry, I can't help. But I had some problems with my wi-fi just last month......My advice, though? Call your local service provider first and try to get their help. It's a pain in the ass, but it sometimes helps. If that doesn't work, have them come out. My dad and I spent days trying to fix the damn problem, spent several dozen bucks, and STILL couldn't fix it.

Unless you really don't want to spend any cash (or unless the other know what the fuck is going on) just call and have them come out.

I don't think there is a god. And if there is I'm nothing like him.

My advice: take some kind of action.

Yeah, I might end up doing that. I feel like it's something stupid in its simplicity, though, like I accidentally hit an off switch or something. That happened with my internet before.

Thank you so very much.

My political stance: Somebody should do something about all the problems.

arm wrestle it, and see if it will allow you to pick up wifi.

google the make and model number, you might beable to download a pdf manual,
go to the official site, ask tech support.
find out the IP address for the router, type it in, go into the stting and fiddle with stuff.
