I know that might sound a little off this board and I'm sorry for that, but I had toi post it, otherwise it would lack of reference and honetly I don't know where to place it, feel free to do it Curi.

I guess all of you have seen the misteryous norway spiral lights that showed up in Oslo's night skies this week. In case you didn't, here it is:

It's just incredible how people are speculating it might be some consequence of a nuclear missile crossing the atmosphere or exploding miles and miles and miles above and the fact it's blue.

It's helpless thinking of Doc and specially, that phenomenon kinda portray exactly what I expected from a WM's squidless ending.

Far from questing Zack's choice; that has been exhaustively discussed but when I imagined an ending without the squid and the alternative energy plot, I always imagined that maybe over Manhattan and all the capitals of the world something like an energy spiral, spinning clouds with bolts and thunders would happen, sucking people and destroying and incinerating them and the buildings. People are speculating if that brief effect might be some alien UFO or something. Imagine something of that magnitude.

Imagine if Adrian could supply people with free energy, a new kind of energy that you could like pick from the air - as the new Google's "Internet in the Clouds" concept - and because of that, Adrian could unsuspectedly control that energy creating a phenomenon like that but much larger and ON a big city, placed in the skies, not perpendicular to it, like Oslo's spiral.

I always preached that point of view before anyone who had previously seen the film foretold that the ending envolved Doc but I never could really describe it or imagine it. And now, here it is.

Amazing stuff, really. I have no idea what it is, but its quite a sight. I already like the ending of the film a lot, but if it had been something like this, I think it would have been more amazing visually, something more original.

Personally, however, I find the link to Dr Manhattan too vague to really make for a Watchmen related topic and think the thread should be moved elsewhere.

Wow this is weird... creepy almost. I don't really believe in Aliens and that but this is strange.... If anyone finds any articles or explanation for this then please post.... I am intrigued.
