FUCK YES!
Hopefully he's gotten over that "phase" that he was going through.

What phase?

The phase where he cancelled a gig for actual fans in favour of doing a promotional gig for the employees of a designer jeans company.
The phase where he did an album with timbaland.

Way too late for this, but back in September I saw Bright Eyes. It was a truly amazing show. Conor Oberst is a surprisingly cheery performer; he would do little dances, crack jokes and play around with the rest of the band. Definitely not the sad emo guy that I imagined him to be when I first started listening to them. And I must say Laura Burhenn is astonishing in person. The photographs and videos of her don't do her absolutely any justice. I also liked that he played a song he wrote back when he must have been like fifteen or so. At the end, he made a stage dive and I managed to shake hands with him as we were bringing him back up into the stage. Overall, great show. I'm so glad I went. Definitely the best night I've had in a long time.

It's late for this, but he was fucking awesome. Listening to his version of Satisfied Mind, Billie Jean and Confortably Numb is priceless.

I've only been to two concerts in my life, the first of which I was 17 when it happened. Many folks at my school considered this odd, which itself is strange because I live in a such a small town and even the state itself isn't known for it's cool concerts so I wondered why they'd be judgmental about it or whatever. Anyways.

August 2010- Bob Dylan (Zoo Amphitheater in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)
December 2011- Jay-Z and Kanye West (American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas)

Did Bob have his Oscar on stage?

According to this Dylan-mad film lecturer of mine. Apparently he often brings along his Oscar because he prizes it above all his music awards.

At any rate it's no secret that the ol' Bob's always been a movie fan.

I'd love to see him someday.

Yeah, it's a very chill show. The songs don't sound entirely like their record counterparts and because of Dylan's voice it often took a few seconds into the song before people could recognize what song it was, but that did happen the crowd seemed pleased needless to say. He closed the show with "Like A Rolling Stone" and "All Along the Watchtower" back-to-back which was needless to say overwhelmingly badass.

"The legendary Black Album" !?

I was just mentioning Dropkick Murphys because they're not metal, still, I can see how that festival clearly wasn't just with Metal bands !

hurrah, i can finally post in this thread.

so, for the weekend i visited my friend james at his school, hofstra university. this weekend was their fall festival. it had the usual stuff - rides, cotton candy, etc.

the musical line-ups were:

KC and the Sunshine Band
Cobra Starship
Big Sean

and to top it all off...

Snoop Dogg

all fantastic, i would go see them again in a heartbeat
