So, Jester, what kind of stuff do you do for fun?

*sigh* That's a sucky question cause I'm the dullest person in the world.

It's summer so I'm really lazy. I usually just chill out with my best friend. She's really the only person I hang out with outside of school. Well, her and her friends by extension. Sad, I know, but I''m socially awkward and making fast friends isn't something I'm good at. Also, I'm not really a people person, so I don't like to be around a lot of people I don't know very well.

I don't have a job so I don't have much cash to go anywhere, unless I mooch from my parents. I can't drive yet, which is sad considering I'm seventeen. I really don't like driving, it makes me really nervous, and kind of scares me. I need to get my ass in gear and get my license though....:(

During school I'm a little more active. I mingle and go to art club on thursdays, and since I'm one of the older kids I help my teacher keep order. I'm doing a mural for my school, which I have to finish this year.

Really what I love is reading. I read lots and lots. That and hanging out online. It's easier to get along with people online. :)

Lol. I like the challenge.

I suppose a better question would be, what are my interests? I like to learn. I like history a lot, and recently got into Ancient Greek history. I enjoy writing, but anytime I try I rarely get past the first chapter....and even if I do the story dies. I'm more of a poetry/blogger/article/rant person.

A mini-obsession of mine is NYC, and I try to learn all I can about the city. I like sci-fi and fantasy a lot, and I've been getting into horror lately. I've always like the darker works, and I enjoy sarcasm. I dislike a lot of romance, but I have my exceptions. Obviously I like a lot of superhero centered media, movies mostly.

I really dislike school, but I think it's the social atmosphere more than anything. Oh, and the pointless work of course.

Yeah, the Gone series by Michael Grant. It's excellent.

It's about this little west coast town that's suddenly cut off from the rest of the world by a barrier. At the same time everyone over 15 disappears, just POOF, gone in a blink! So this little town is left completely under the control of the kids, who are developing some disturbing abilities. and when the kids turn fifteen? Poof....unless they can stop it.

I really like it because 1) It is very well written. Even though the main characters are only about fourteen (older in the next few books) they're not stupid or naive. Childish, sometimes? Yes, but the book doesn't pull punches. It's a very dark book. Some of the characters are very sick in the head.

2) The books are big, like 400-500 hundred pages. There are going to be six in all, but only the first three are out. The first is Gone, the second Hunger, then Lies, then Plague is next, followed by Darkness, and Light.

3) The characters are well written. They're not all perfect, and have lots of flaws.

The series deals with (so far): violence, bullies (though this is a weak word for the kids in the book), substance abuse, starvation, right vs. wrong, cannibalism, body image, leadership, crushing responsibility, and insanity.

(I'm willing to bet that Stephen King's new book "Under the Dome" is totally a rip off of this book, because he quoted his like for it and about two years after the second book? Bam, book about people trapped under a dome like barrier.)

I hate driving. Well, hate is a strong word, but I only drive if I absolutely have to. I'm afraid that I'm going to hit someone or something. It's ironic considering I'm actually quite good. I learned from the best after all. My dad's a drive-ed teacher.

I'll look into that other book you mentioned, but I read Under the Dome. It was really good, though violent of course. I don't know if it's a rip-off, though, because Stephen King started to write the manuscript back in the 70's or something like that so he's had it for awhile.

Sweet, another hater of driving. Lucky. I suck at driving, but probably only because I don't practice. I hit a car trying to park....:( But I didn't hurt it. :) I have trouble on busy roads and turning left at lights because I get so nervous, and because I'm never sure where to look in traffic. I just need to go back to basics and work from there.

Hmm, I'll have to look into. But I still think it's awful suspicious.

Lol, thanks guys. :)

Woah, long post!

OKAY, a question for everyone here! What are five none musical sounds that you like?

For me it's: horse hooves on cobblestone, the sound of high heels on hard floors, the clicking sound dog's teeth make when they snap their jaws shut, really low, deep dog barks, the sound of joints popping underwater.

and to answer the question: the reactions of people reacting to my burps and farts, guns, and more guns.

If it makes you feel any better, I had to take my road test three times before I passed. Stupid little mistakes. It's because the instructors made me feel nervous as hell. Shyness etcetera. They're not nice either.
