I just think it sucks that the entire line is Batman except for that set that I purchased

I bought this
in a two pack with the berserker one.

Amazing sculpt. Looks even better up close.
Great articulation and flexible hands to easily fit accessories in.

I also got Sub-Zero and Scorpion from MK9.

and I wanna get this next week:

Its pretty much how they were in the early games. Simple palette swaps.

That doesn't make them good figures though.

at least they have swappable heads for Reptile and Scorpion,

but yeah in MK9 the alt classic costumes for the characters looked exactly like these, how is it any lazier than TNMT figures? and i doubt you get them in a 4 pack.

Did you ever have any TMNT toys? Even the original 1988 turtles weren't mere palette swaps, they had different expressions on their faces, their belts/pouches (and obviously belt buckles) were all different, and they all had different accessories. They weren't just the same figure four times over with different colours.
I'd even bet money that the Sub Zero and Smoke figures have removable heads as well, even though they don't have alternates.

yeah I had old TNMT toys, and yes the heads were different but I'm sure the rest of the figure was the same, at least the arms and legs would have been identical, and I really don't remember the bodies being different.

and nearly all action figures have removable heads, because of the way they are made, and many many action figures use "stock" parts, I seem to remember nearly all he-man toys were exactly the same waist down for example, it doesn't make the toys bad, but it does keep costs down which means that either the figure is more affordable or better quality.

I doubt even Hot toys make a new mould for every single figure they make, in fact I'm almost certain they have stock bodies for different body types, it would be stupid not to.

I'd probably bet that that 4 pack of classic MK figures is probably relatively cheap precisely because of what it is, it's 4 figures but I'd be willing to bet it's closer in price to 2 individual figures.

I already said, their belts/harnesses/pouches were all different, as were their belt buckles.

I might be sorely disheartened with how generic it looks, if that Sub-Zero isn't the exact style i've wanted for years.
And as far as TMNT toys, I always lost all the belts and junk. In the end their color is the only thing differentiating them.
And yeah, expressions too.

Kind of a small photo, but you can see that the heads are all quite different. Considering that the MK characters don't have weapons, I think they could have made each characters slightly different in terms of arm position.

I like the Mirage Turtle set:

I believe in the original comics, they all wore red.
The cartoon changed that to make it easier for kids to tell them apart, pick favorites, junk like that.

Awesome black and white set:

Custom job:

Also, were the original figures based on the cartoon, or the comic books, because while they have the individual coloring, the faces look more like the original drawings.

Starting to feel nostalgic.

WOAH.
Dude, you have just GOT to read the original Mirage comic series, it's seriously one of the greatest indie comics ever created. It's super dark and super sardonic.

if you look closely you can see that they are exactly the same below the neck though, removable accessories excluded, and the MK set actually says "with 6 secret accessories included"
