I didn't play web of shadows, shattered dimensions or the other one, because I dig sandbox spidey games.
That being said Spider-Man 3 (the last sandbox Spider-Man game) was shit. THIS is a return to form.
Damn fine graphics, a decent render on the webhead himself and really really fun game mechanics make this one worth checking out.

Web of Shadows was the last Spider-man sandbox game. not Spider-man 3, I never played WoS, but it was considered to be much better than SM3,

Web of Shadows wasn't sandbox... o_o

Edit: my bad, it appears you're right.
I never bought it cause I always thought it wasn't sandbox.
I might have to check it out. Though I heard TASM was better.
So do I even wanna take that step back? idk...

I guess it depends on how much you like Symbiote related stuff. Also WoS is much more comic related, and I think it has quite a few appearences from allies and enemies from the comics, I believe wolverine is in it for example.

I couldn't find a good picture, so this will have to do.

So I really started to get into this last night, it's definitely one of the better lego games out there.

You've got

- Revamped vehicle controls
- A real free-roam area
- Full-fledged voice-acting (and it doesn't disappoint at all)
- The entire fucking Justice League (both comic and tv show versions i.e. Aquaman, Hawkgirl) and a shit ton of villains to boot

Speaking of Batman, and whoever may be interested in answering this query to me...

IF I was to buy another game apart from Red Dead Redemption (I know I've been an eternity on that).

Why should that game be Arkham City ?

Again, for those interested, thanks in advance !

Why *shouldn't* it be?

Short Budget on videogames, MAYBE I can afford two, and two at most.

And since The Dark Knight Rises is coming out in barely two weeks, I think it'd be a good idea to "be prepared".

Well, I know that if someone held a gun to my head and ordered me to buy a video game, it'd definitely be Arkham City.

Because it's one of the single greatest video games I've ever played, and Dini handles the batman mythos as wlel as anyone. You have a massive free roam environment, as well as amazing graphics, and a stunning story. Also, the characters brought in during side questswill make any true bat fan excited.

Also, I have sold my soul to Lego Batman 2.

Arkham Asylum is a tighter, better game though, even if City is bigger and has a better story.

This. Definately.

Though neither of the Batman games even make my top ten must-plays.

I'd say Dead Space 1 & 2 if you haven't already.

But there really isn't a good reason to not get either of the Batman games.
So go for it.

*Rubs chin.............slowly*

What about the combat ? I've never been convinced by watching the videos, even though I'm fully aware that it's one thing to look, and it's very different to feel it while playing.

If you played AA, the combat is much improved.

The combat in AC is pretty smooth, at times it borders on button mashing, but that's only if you let it, you can throw in weapons and other things pretty cleanly to make it more than just pounding the X button.

Wait... I'm going about this all wrong.

Me am hate this game so much! It very not good and has terrible pictures! If you don't ask me I'll keep silent and not say it was one f the worst game experiences I've ever had in my death... basically, if you save money and time on this game it will be a horrible use of money and time!
