Dave has kindly agreed to a phone interview with yours truly and I wanted to open up this thread for any new questions you may have for him. Fire away!

I'd like to know what his next project is.

I'm also curious to know if he'd be willing to try his hand at filmmaking a la Frank Miller (though with better results, I'd hope!).

I am curious as well, but I wouldn't say that Miller had terrible results

This would be a good time to talk about differences between the book and film, I think. Mr Gibbons probably wasn't able to talk about specific details before...

Is there any scene or moment you particularly missed when it came to the film? Any changes you particularly liked?

You've been doing a lot to promote this film - how's that been? Would you do it all again if another of your works was adapted?

Are we allowed to ask non-Watchmen questions?

How is it working on Beneath a Steel Sky again? Is a sequel still a possibility? Are you a fan of video games in general?

Will your work with Mark Millar be thematically related to Watchmen, as could be said of some of his titles?

i hear he was linked to a project with Mark Millar, is that still moving forward?

what is it like going back to old projects from years ago such as Watchmen and Beneath a Steel Sky?

Question 1: Were you allowed to keep any of the movie props as a souvenir?

Question 2: What was your favorite scene in the film and why?

Question 3: When you and Alan Moore were originally creating Watchmen, did either of you ever think that fans would still be debating, analyzing, and trying to deconstruct it over 20 years later?

Question 4: What was some of your primary visual inspirations when illustrating the original comic book series?

It was tough trying to think of some questions that he hasn't been asked already.

What significance is there, if any, in the fact that Edward Blake doesn't wear a Smiley Badge in the Crimebusters meeting?

Ok this question is vaguely related to a difference between the film and the comic, and it's really burning me up now!

One small but perhaps not insignificant difference between the film and the comic is Moloch's ears. In the book they look elfin, whereas in the film they are flat-to-the-head, resembling notable Italian politician Giulio Andreotti. A man nicknamed "Moloch", who shared Adrian Veidt's evil-for-the-sake-of-good philosophy. Is this something you and Alan intended, is it something added by those involved in the film, or is it just a coincidence?

This was a question I asked for the Ask Dave Gibbons contest a while back. I changed it a little in light of him seeing the movie by now:

Q: Having seen the movie adaptation of Watchmen, could you see yourself making similar stylistic choices in regards to the costumes had you and Alan made Watchmen today, instead of back in 1985?

Since you've said that the Nite Owl I costume was based off of the character of the same name that you created when you were 14. Did you ever draw your own "comics" and stories with said character, and when did you decide to drop the cape?

Just got off with Dave. We spoke for almost an hour with the last 15 minutes "off the record." It may be some time until you see this and I may break it into two parts.

UPDATE: I'm still waiting for Dave to proof the transcript of this interview and get it back to me. Hopefully we'll get it back soon. Stay tuned.

Here you go.

Seriously, take a look around the main site sometime. You'll love it.
