Vynson-I think of Zack the same way. Although Watchmen is a great film, I think it's far from being Zack's masterpiece. I also get the feeling that in a while, I'm not as optimistic as you and say that in less than a decade he will achieve the stauts of creating true classics, but eventually he will get there, I'm sure of it. I can see him being the kind of director reminicent of Ridley Scott or John Boorman.

Ridley Scott's a lofty comparison but I agree nonetheless. I mean, look at Peter Jackson's career, the last movie he made before he started The Lord Of The Rings was The Frighteners. Not a bad movie but certainly not a classic.

Eh, I still don't like Zack Snyder. I am sure he will pass as another Michael Bay type of director. I honestly believe he got lucky with Watchmen simply because the source material was so good.

Aside from that, Dawn of the Dead was fun, but not really a good movie, and 300 was complete trash.

He just doesn't seem like much of an intelligent person or even very creative. He knows how to make and sell eye candy (though I wouldn't even call 300 eye candy), but I think he fails in making anything of substance.

Technically no because that would imply that I'm indifferent while I was just saying that my opposing viewpoint is not actually helpful for me in any way.

Anyway, this joke has gone on long enough. I blame myself. Time to get on with my life.

*looks around and sees that his family as well as everyone he's ever loved has crumbled in the sands of time* NOOOOO Damn my lame jokes!!!!!

Even though Snyder does not come off as articulate as say, Paul Greengrass, I think he does show a lot of intelligence. Just the insane amount of detail, detail that was not even part of the graphic novel in Watchmen, reflects that. Of course, Watchmen opens up very well for that, while Dawn of the Dead and 300 don't really do that.

For me the true test will be when he does something of his own, and Sucker Punch will be the first. We'll see what comes out of that.

True. I guess it comes down to that, but honestly I don't think it'll be all that great. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong.
