I'll repeat what I posted when I saw the film at home for the first time (third time overall). It was immediately apparent that sound was a big part of the film. I really missed the awesome surround sound that was clearly designed for the cinema, and could only be experienced fully there.

About a month ago I had to analyse the use of sound in Se7en, and although it's not used to construct meaning as much as it is in David Fincher's first masterpiece, Watchmen would've been another good film to use as an example. Next time I watch it I'll inevitably listen carefully.

Great video, very interesting. Been trying to avoid watching anything Watchmen in the last few weeks so when I watch the Directors Cut on Blu Ray, it will seem more fresh.

It most likely will.

I'm 100% certain that the next version of the movie will be a Blade Runner version that collects all 3 versions of the film along with ALL the bonus features, plus the trailers/tv spots (which none of the current releases have) plus whatever else they've kept aside. The theatrical version has not appeared on Blu-Ray to date so that will be one of the versions.

It's coming, I have no doubt. When it's coming... that remains to be seen....
