I wanted to let you guys know about a new book - Watchmen As Literature...



I just received an advance copy and so far, it's very good. I'm also pretty psyched because the website, and yours truly, is cited and quoted in the book several times. The author, Sara, who I've been interviewed by and met at a Comic Con, used this website as one of her resources while writing her book. Needless to say, I'm honored and thrilled. Here's what she wrote about this website in the book's bibliography...

Oh I know, every time I've been there I spend an hour easily. Also, I have no cash, so I would just read the book in the store first.

It's funny how they actually allow you to read books there. They have armchairs and everything. I never do that, though. I should take advantage of it.

Oh it's quite a good advantage, I got away with reading Absolute V For Vendetta that way.

i guess they figure no one is going to read a whole book there, they'll read a bit and then buy it. perhaps they underestimate the amount of cheapskates with time to burn in the world.

The Borders bookstore in Auckland, New Zealand has coffee, couches, tables... and it's in a cineplex. Sweeeet.

I would definitely give this book a read. I always like critical analysis on deconstruction novels and art.

They didn't have the book at the store (I didn't think they would) but I ordered it.

Should be here in three days and then I'll finally have some fire kindle.
