Got here at around 12:35 am. Smooth flight, although apparently Canadians are invading Mexico City. God it feels great to be home :D

I'll update this as often as I can, until I eventually finish my "project."

Peace.

Back on topic. Mexico. Never been to Mexico. I only have bad stereotypes about it in my head. Like it's a dangerous place to live, the cops and politicians are all corrupt, that sort of thing. So, my advice is to keep it real. Show the good and the bad.

No more dangerous or corrupt than any other country on the globe. Like everywhere else, it has it's good parts and bad parts. The beautiful and the dangerous. You just gotta know where to look.

So the city is quite dirty, though the pollution seems to be much better now. Traffic is horrendous, though I actually find it quite enjoyable. It's a nice change of pace from Grand Junction, CO.

And there are buildings! Tall buildings! AAAHHHH! :o :D
God I missed the buildings. Will have to get some shots of the modern architecture, it's pretty awesome.

Ok, so I've been editing this crap for a while now, and I'm nowhere close to being done. I have like 4 hours of footage that I'm trying to work with.

Unfortunately, the documentary style that I hoped for didn't work out. It was just too tough, plus my audio completely crapped out, etc. The video will end up being a rather lengthy pseudo music video, with different images of the city set to music. It's not my preferred approach, but it'll still work.

I uploaded a teaser/preview, which will probably end up somewhere in the full video.

Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks, man! The camera is indeed a beast, but even with that I ran into problems :P
It was fun, though. I think the full vid will give a far better representation of the city.

When do you think you'll finish editing the whole thing?
And just out of curiosity, which editing program are you using?

Jeez, I'm not sure. I have about 2-3 more hours of footage to import, sort, and edit. I'm guessing a couple more weeks if I hurry.

Technical Details:

Shot on Panasonic DVX 100a
24 frames per second
Edited, color corrected, etc. in Final Cut Pro on a Macbook Pro.

Macbook pro is the way to go ;) I am making a stop motion project and putting it together on my mac at the moment.

I haven't got round to checking out your filming yet, but I am going to do it when I have a bit more time :) hope you enjoyed making it.
