I would have posted this in the Scott Pilgrim thread but I thought it deserved its own thread. New trailer!:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IONcuU8m5E

*Edit, posted a better quality video, hope the link works.

Wow. Now that is awesome. Especially like the "K.O!!!!" sound effect. I did not expect it to have Batman-eque ZAP! punches, so that was a nice suprise. I really have to start reading those comics.

I'm giggling like a schoolgirl over here.

I knew this would be awesome, but I did not know it would be totally fucking sweet. I love how it opens up like a generic teen rom-com and then goes into all that craziness. The comic-book panel layout at the opening is beatiful, the sound effect visuals are spectacular... I could go on and on about the visuals, but it's all just amazing.

My only complaint so far is Anna Kendrick. Nothing against her personally or her skill as an actress, of course, but she's just too old to be playing Scott's little sister.

But still, late August can't come too soon.

EDIT: Is it just me, or did the "no clue -> gets it" shot use the "ring" sound effect from Sonic?

The shot that did it for me was the two second clip of an old TTC bus, the kind I used to take to school when I was a teen. That's what I'm most looking forward to, seeing Toronto play itself in a movie that isn't mediocre like a lot of Canadian movies seems to be.

For the next trailer I'd like to see more of a focus on the story and its characters. We need to hear from Wallace, Stephen, Knives and Kim Pine.

well in basically every film he's done it's usually just the same role. so if you've seen superbad, then there's no need to see juno or youth in revolt. however, this looks like he's doing something more serious and i like it.

WHY CAN'T I SEE THE TRAILER!!!

NOOOOO!!!!

youth in revolt.

Actually you're wrong about that since he did do something different by playing the exact opposite of what he normally is.

Saw the teaser. Looks awesome as hell. I really can't wait for this.

Ok, I REALLY LOVED THE TEKKEN REFERENCE.
EDIT: It's not from Tekken. I'm not sure where it's from.

Double EDIT: Got it, Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 3.

I haven't read the comics, but god damn it, I will be watching the movie on the day of the premiere.

Except for the different plots and the fact that he's...not even the main character in the former.

Anyway, cool trailer. I'm looking forward to seeing this.

I saw this trailer before kick-ass last night. Having not looked in to the Scott Pilgrim movie much, I didn't realise it was a trailer for it before the name came up. I have not read any of the comics, I know nothing about the plot, but I am going to have to be honest, and say, that I thought the film looked like a load of crap. I don't know whether it is because I am not seeing something that the fans do, but I thought it looked like a really dodgey, really average super-hero comedy, which was going to be cliched as well as funny for about 5 seconds.

I am just saying this based on what I saw of the trailer, and the fact that I have no other knowledge of Scott Pilgrim, so please don't hate me as I realise there is a lot of love for it on this forum, I was genuinely surprised when I realised that it was the Scott Pilgrim trailer.

What, you thought it was the actual film?
