Planning on gathering all my supplies this coming week. (Waiting out Holiday shopping madness although I doubt there's much Easter shopping at plastics supply shops. XD) i'll keep you all posted on my progress here. ;)

Still need to photograph the nice custom foam job I did for my case. This weekend I'm going to update my website with a whole page for the guns to make 'em seem less garagey and more professional. Gotta start somewhere! Totally proud to have this in my portfolio.

So I got my Indy Magnoli Trench Coat today. It is awesome! One problem is that I ordered it too small as I didn't make sure I had good measurements. Indy is easy to work with and gave me some good options. The option I chose was to return it since waxed cotton cannot be altered. I have to pay a small fee for a new one to be made but no where near the original cost which isn't too bad at all.

Here are some pics of the trench coat before I sent it back though.

Yup! Mine came the other day, too. Pretty ecstatic. Took a couple hasty shots. I'll try and get some better ones whenever I can get a hold of a digital camera.

You can't really tell, but the length is perfect, right above my knee.

You get the idea.

Here's a slightly better lit one. The problem with this one is that you can't see my pants very well.

Oh well. Don't mind my left hand. Just using my mouse to take the pic.

It's got an all silk lining? Boy, I would think that'd make it slosh around on my body.

Oh, yeah. It's way better than I expected. Indy does some great work. The gloves came out fantastic, too. I recommend them both to anyone thinking of getting them. I'm debating on whether or not I should get the scarf he offers too, since it's not screen accurate but, judging from the quality of the gloves/coat, would probably still be really great.

As far as the buttons on the coat go I'm going to see if I can't replace them. I have a lead on a button store the movie studio supposedly picked the ones used for the movie up from, so if it turns out to be true I'll let anyone interested know.

I'd love to know where you get screen accurate buttons if you do. I don't know if this is a concern just for buttons but when my trench coat arrived it was a little tight and I asked Indy if I could send it back for alterations. He said that really wasn't an option because once waxed cotton is stitched it leaves permanent marks if you unstitch it due to the nature of the fabric. He compared it to threading thick leather. I had to pay a small fee for a completely new trench coat and send the old one back. This may not be a huge concern over buttons though but just FYI.

Also, I bought the complete Indy set (Trench coat, gloves, scarf). I don't know how accurate the scarf is but it's very soft and off white. I was impressed with it when I saw it and didn't regret my purchase.... Much like the gloves and trench coat. It's very light too and easy to get into that classic Rorschach scarf pattern around the neck.

About to run back into the studio but figured I'd give you guys an update. Aiming to pour rubber for the molds today, these things are going to be rockin'. I'm semi-heartbroken, in order to make the 'production line' ones, I'm sacrificing my original prototype. I don't think it'll ever be reassembled again. :C Will just have to make one of the cold-cast ones I make for you guys for myself.

In the meantime, here have a photo of what the custom-fit-case looks like! ;)

WOW!!!! After seeing the case I'm rethinking my position on not getting one. Can I still order the case if I haven't already?

Sure thing! I'll shoot you an email. ;) Honestly I'm hoping everyone who orders one gets a case, it makes shipping them a lot easier/safer, although I'm an expert shipper.

Didn't manage to get the molds poured today, it took a whole extra day of prep-work, but man, they're looking gorgeous. :D Tomorrow I get to check out plastics and flirt with those cute shop dudes again. ;)

nooo
the coat it took me fricken since the movie came out to find a brown trench coat...geez i found it on ebay but its tiny it was from japan or Korea? was cheap 50 bucks i actually went back looking on ebay for that coat in a large but no luck.
you can check out this site for trenches http://www.yesstyle.com it seems japan stuff is made for stylish trenches i guess. cause i could not find one in the states that wasn't to huge or tan/black or khaki so frustrating finding a coat..
but yeah if you order from a japan site order a size up or two sizes up cause everything is so tiny and i'm not a huge guy..i'm 5'10 141 pounds and a large/xl fits me when i usually wear a medium.

what was a pain to they sent me the wrong coat it was short like to my crotch than i had to return it and they sent me the same coat just a longer version of it. still not long enough though its a bit above my knee.
when get the shoes and gloves ill post a full pic...and damn i need purple pin stripped pants : / ???
