This guy tried to help save a lady from an attacker and he was stabbed and left dying on the street for an hour as many New Yorkers walked by.

makes me think more of kick-ass, but maybe it's just fresher in my mind.

So the woman he tried to help didn't do anything? Didn't call the police? What a fucking coward.

Yeah pretty much since a lot of people walked by and did nothing, making it seem like the MAJORITY of humans don't give a fuck even if someone is DYING. :/ Pretty sad, really.

I haven't seen that movie so I wouldn't know I guess.

Well the woman was probably scared the fuck out because some guy just tried to stab her. She was probably in a state of shock.

So I actually blame the other people who just walked by a bit more than her.

According to your article:

Quote:
and police have been unable to identify the woman Tale-Yax was trying to help.

Meaning the woman still hasn't come forward. I can understand being in a state of shock, but what did this women do afterword? Was the guy successful in stealing her purse? If not, might she have just shrugged it off? At the end of the day she's still alive and the homeless guy is dead.

Well, godamnit.

I feel like this should go without saying but I definitely would have gotten help if I had seen him.

And it actually does remind me more of Kick-Ass, specifically the stabbing and the onlooker in the window.

found something else on it

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_dying_and_ignored

it seems the man and woman both fled in opposite directions once Mr. Hero was stabbed.

I Don't really see the Kick-Ass link personally, but probably because I thought Kick Ass was very funny, whereas this is not at all. Hmmmm.... I can sort of see it, but not really..

what made me think of kick ass is the fact he was trying to help and got stabbed for it.

Yeah I got that, but I was just saying it doesn't make me think of Kick Ass because it was so funny.

Ok .................... I don't want to be the asshole.

But was it clear that the man was stabbed and bleeding ? did he ask for help ?

If I just saw some guy in the middle of the street, curled up like a ball and moaning, I would assume crack has done it's job.

Kind of what I was thinking too. Yeah, those could be important details but the guy who took a picture of him at least appears to be a jackass in any case.

I've thought of that too. Toronto has a pretty bad homeless problem. I remember walking downtown and seeing a homeless guy just lying there on the sidewalk (probably on a vent), during the winter. Come to think of it, that's a common site. So I probably wouldn't stop to see if the guy was okay, unless I could see that he was bleeding.
