you know who i couldnt stand.
Matthew Goode.
He certainly had the acting chops, but the physical presence?
hell no.
He dissapeared in that buff superhero suit, and he totally didnt bring the feel of remourse and emotion i saw from Adrian in the comics

hey newsboy, which bit of my post were you disagreeing with. if anything your post agrees with me :|

maybe i misunderstood what you were meaning, but I was disagreeing that she was actually the worst actress/actor in the movie. You seem to agree that she isn't the greatest actress but then go on to say as to how she was actually good in the role. I disagree that she was good in the role and then say why they should've picked a different actress based off of her mediocre acting skills.

sorry, i was being a bit sarcastic, i was sort of saying that her personality worked in the role, not that she is actually a good actress. but there are definately much better actresses for the role

You missed when Dave Gibbons "came out" and told us all that he has an account here and which one it is... oh wait, no that was just a dream

Rule #17 of the Internet: Don't assume gender.

Satan's Slut is an androgynous crab-spider for all we know.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there is a picture in the picture thread, and I thought it's come out over the course of S-Slut's postings

I don't know about that.

I couldn't possibly disagree more. Although I'm a fan of almost the whole cast with a few exceptions, Goode was my favorite because he captured Adrian's complicated emotions as well as they were handled in the comic. His final scene as he's standing in the ruins of Karnak is, again, one of my favorites because all of the mixed emotions that were going across his face worked. I also liked how, in the movie, he stands back and lets Dan punch him until he bleeds, perhaps feeling some regret over their rage. What he lacked in physical physique was compensated by his presense for me, which shined the most before the assassination attempt as he was talking to the businessmen.

And, as much flak as his suit receives, it was primarily based on Egyptian styles from the colors to even his headpiece, so it wasn't necessarily a normal, buff superhero suit.

I thought Goode came across as a young and idealistic...in kind of a dark way. Not exactly how I could describe Adrian in the book, but I think it worked for the movie.

i agree

and as for the suit, i think it was fine, and the costume designer obviously to go more alexandrian rather than egyptian,
