picked up the full series since i loved y the last man so much so i gave this a try and am on vol. 4 right now and its great such a compelling story so far i think Brian K. Vaughan is on of the best comic book writers out there

i am now up to volume 7 and the series is just getting better and better anyone else read this?

Synopsis, biatch.

"The series details the life of Mitchell Hundred (also known as The Great Machine), the world's first and only superhero, who, in the wake of his actions on 9/11, is elected Mayor of New York City. The story is set during Hundred's term in office, and interwoven with flashbacks to his past as the Great Machine. I just finished Ex Machina a few weeks ago. Truly a great series. It's very similar to Y: The Last Man (and Watchmen for that matter) in that it jumps around in the narrative a lot with entertaining flashbacks and meaningful vignettes from when Mitchell Hundred was a superhero. They mix up the action and politics in a way that stays fresh even after 10 volumes. There are a lot of hallucinatory scenes and vague foreshadowings of things to come that reminded me of Grant Morrison's Animal Man. There are a lot of subplots so keep on your toes, but you will be pleased to know that most of them get resolved by the end. The stars are down.

It is truly an amazing series, even greater if you go for a second reading.
