"A source speaking on the condition of anonymity tells Newsarama that Aronofsky is also being targeted to direct Columbia Pictures' big screen production of Preacher, based on the comic book series published by Vertigo, DC Comics’ Mature Readers imprint. DC of course is also the publishing home to the Man of Steel and a subsidiary of Warner Bros."

I think the only person actually capable of directing this movie is Garth Ennis himself :|

He certainly is a good candidate though, but very few directors will be able to bring Preacher to the silver screen, let alone a studio that would actually produce something as incredibly controversial and divisive as Preacher is.

I kind of think that Preacher can't be adapted, due to length and all the stuff happening, the budget needed would be way to big for TV and a movie couldn't cover it all

They could do like they are doing with "Y: The Last Man", the latter is about the first third of all the issues, if it succeeds, then they will make the sequels based on the other two thirds.

Hmmm... I don't know, I think Preacher has too much going on for 32 issues to be one movie

I've had the same three Netflix movies for the past week and a half now.

Do you think I have time to read a comic book series?
