so the movie is moving forward with Karl Urban under the helmet

I have always been fascinated by the idea behind the judges, but I haven't got around to reading anything from the source material, anything good you can recommend ?

The closest I've ever come to reading Judge Dredd is reading Halo Jones. So really, not close at all.

Ladies and gentlemen, the new Judge Dredd.

This is apparently from a costume test, so this may not be final. Still, it doesn't look half-bad. That helmet seems way too big, though.

Prefer the original myself; check out this currently in production semi-professional fan effort to see what can be accomplished on film.

i agree, it's too big, might be better if they gave him some prosthetics to widen his jaw or something.

definately more faithfull than the 95 one though. (the helmet i mean, the suit is more faithful in the 95 movie, but i like the realistic/practical version, maybe they have a dress uniform with the eagle etc or something)

Looks bad, and the suit doesn't convince me, the shoulders looked much better in the original, hopefully as Curi said, this is only a test.
