BUT... Her costume was designed so that it would go with the name. That would be like if the Joker didn't look like a cracked out clown, and instead just wore like a trench coat and blue jeans. Sure he'd still be the joker, but there is a certain added element that comes from his wardrobe.

For further examination, consider Green Lantern... if his costume were beige he would still be the same character, but the costuming would detract from the grander scheme that is the character.

I miss the yellow belt, but the lack of red underoos is a welcome sight.
Supes can rock almost any look, so this isn't a huge deal to me.
