Not really, we can't go past the facts that Nitz has done some insane shit, period.

But in the end, in this comic pretty much everyone in the Prairie Rose Reservation can end up killing anyone, we can't go around that either

I thought about her too actually, but it's just her.

And maybe the couple who got the plane crash on their house, perhaps !

Well, Dino's diabetic uncle is too busy watching Peckinpah movies to kill someone

Double posting aside, I was kind of let down by number 50. Yes the page with redcrow and Shunka drawn by Steve Dillon is amazing (check my facebook for those who don't read scalped) but this issue didn't do anything to further the plot, which I was hoping it would.

Feli, what are your thoughts?

I just saw the picture, I can't even believe there's people out there that actually hate Steve Dillon, their eyes should be gouged for being so ungrateful !

My thoughts are now the ones that ocupy the time I need to wait while I get my hands on #50, so I'll give some feedback tomorrow or past-tomorrow.

The day after tomorrow?

As in a future day beyond the next?

As in... a really shitty film?

Dude, are you sure you didn't like this issue ? Like REALLY sure ?

Look, I'm not looking to start a fight here, I'm not going to bring up any pointless discussion if unnecessary, most of all, I am not attacking you, I promise.

But was it the "anti-patriotic" undertones ?

I really thought this was a landmark issue of the series, really really good, even if it doesn't move the plot forward like we were wanting after the last arc.

I didn't say I didn't like it, I said I was hoping that it would carry on the story more, as opposed to fleshing out the past. There hasn't been a single issue of scalped I haven't liked. And i wouldn't really classify this as un patriotic, I think it's one of those road goes both way and both sides are equally bad, shown by the white man scalping the natives at the beginning to Dash's ancestors doing the same thing with nearly the same explanation. I also liked how there were the ties through to the modern and how all the characters embody various aspects of the Lakota's fighting spirit.

I just wanted more story and more plot development

Same here, the whole series is an absolute Vertigo classic, it'll be a goddamn privilege to have it complete on my library, and as always, I can't fathom why more people here aren't reading it.

Best part of the issue ?

Dash's shirt.

I thought that was incredibly uplifting given the road he's gone through, and it shows where the story is leading up to, you know, after reading this issue, I can buy it if Scalped has a pinky-rainbowey-happy ending, I can dig it.

Well, that bald bastard Aaron did left us hanging after #49 ! I'm certainly itching to see what happened, #51 has a release date ?

As long as that happy ending is Dash and Carol together... s'all I'm saying.

Well, here's the official thing from DC's website, and Scalped (for a creator owned book) has been very punctual so I'd definitely say this should be accurate.

If Carol survives a berserker rage of nun-chuk slappin' after she tells him she aborted their baby, then NOTHING can keep those two apart  !

Let's hope so, I've been duped a few times with some phony dates !

I am actually really anxious to see how that gets resolved. As shown by Carol at the Poor Bear's casa she still has feelings for him and wants everything to turn out okay... but Aaron hasn't addressed how Dash feels yet.

DC is better than Marvel when it comes to the vertigo/icon thing in actually holding off until they know for sure the book is coming.

Mr. Bad Horse's state of humor is always oscilating at "I feel like shit", therefore, his different moods vary between "Less feeling like shit" and "more feeling like shit", there's no happyness or calm inside that man !

Tell me about, Judgement day will hit humanity sooner than the next issue of Brubaker's "Criminal".

I kind of meant in relation to Carol. I know there was their scene in the Unwanted arc in the snow (literal tears were in my eyes during this btw) but he hasn't really shown if Dash was just feeling a sense of lust or if he was actually caring about another person when it came to carol
