I'm currently in the middle of an obsession over a DS game called The World Ends With You. It's a great game, but difficult to find. I highly suggest you track it down.

And for the GTA IV maniacs out there, check this out.

ah Yahtzee :D
Thanks for the link Curi, I love seeing his new reviews - did you notice when he's talking about the turn for 'gritty' or for 'realism', and it goes past 'realism' there's a poplar tree right in front of it?
 I love the attention to detail!

i like ps3 for the main reason that it's basically an entertainment hub (blu-ray player and a lot more thinga-majigs) and it's gonna have the best game series i've played which is Metal Gear.

But damn, Gears of War 2 trailers have me contemplating on getting xbox 360.

Another badass game, Mad World for the Wii.

Youtube it. Warning though, it's damn violent.

Awesome.
I suppose you already finished Portal then?
How far are you in HL2?

I have HL2 for the original Xbox. But my original Xbox died on me. It plays music cd's and even dvd films, but the games just sit in there and won't start. :/

Planning on getting a 360, soon. Hope I can run the games I have on that. :O

Your console doesn't play games?!
Get the 360 asap, I would!

Yessir!

My youngest is having his 7th b-day party soon and he would like to play something on the XBox with his mates.

Having not updated my console for many years, there is a stash of cracking games for the newer system. A lot of them very reasonably priced, too. What's most important is that the wifey thinks it's a good idea and reminded me to get one before the party. (Like I need reminding).

 Next: A HD-tv, as I only have a couple of small lo-res cathode ray tube TVs at home. ;)

8-)
I can't get them all at once, but I am very interested in:
Bioshock
Gears of War
Guitar Hero III
Skate
Assassin's Creed
Mass Effect
Oblivion

Upcoming games:
Spore
Force Unleashed
Lego Indiana Jones: The original trilogy
Empire:Total War (though that isn't slated for the 360, yet, but here's to hoping!)

I haven't finished Portal yet because I haven't beaten GLaDOS.
Right now I'm on the Water Hazard level in HL2.

Same thing happened to me with PS2. I haven't finished playing the first Half Life on the PS2 because it won't play any CDs. It just keeps reading the CD and nothing happens. I think the problem is the dust inside the CD station. :/

Good idea! You take over here and I'll have time to play some shit!!!

Edit:
Just got back from a graduation party. There, they had two fast computers wired to the Internet — both with World of Warcraft installed and running two level 70 chars.
My sons have been playing for over two hours straight. 11 and 6! Jeebus. :?
