What the hell, this sounds awesome.

I need to stop putting off reading new threads.

Only in terms of genre, one could very well say it has equal similarities to Gundam.

from what i've heard about the movie, it seems like it's a bit of an homage to a lot of japanese monster/mech/tokusatsu stuff, be it anime or live action, but with an american spin on it, and now a spanish twist :D

More like mexican you might say :P

i meant spanish language.... :?

Hey, it's Iron Black Man!

I hope to hell there's no blind humanoid that turns out to have eyes in it's palm in this one, or I'll be bwaaa-haa-haa-ing and walking out.

Loved Pan's Labyrinth, but was dismayed to see such a similar device (eye-palm) used in Hellboy II.
If he does it again...

didn't it have eye's on it's wings, in Hellboy 2?

although that reminds me of the disappointment I felt when seeing the Super 8 alien, which was just a midget Cloverfield alien.

Guillermo del Toro talking about the movie: http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/3374 ... lmscan.png

Sounds amazing.

That's... a giant robot.

There really isn't much to say about the poster except for the robot's scale, and the scale implies that the robot is fucking gigantic.

Sweet. I know we can only see a little bit of it, but I love how humanoid and anime-esque it looks.

The only thing missing from that poster is:

"To Robert Jensen Hanley, with all my love" Guillermo.

Admit it 'ziller, this is THE movie for you
