The only thing that makes me think Dino might take out red crow is that I'm getting the vibe from Dino that he's sort of a Michael Corleone, in that he wants nothing to do with the rez... but he's starting to get tied there and he could become the next Red Crow for all we know

I don't know, I don't see it in Dino to be the next Red Crow, he certainly is tied to The Rez, but not as hard as Red Crow, the latter has absolutely no meaning in life without The Rez or outside Lakota society, whereas Dino is different, he is young, he doesn't have a gigantic anchor of duty and guilt, for all we know he could be the next Nick Fury.

...too soon ?

I'd make my bets on Dashiell killing every single goon of Red Crow, Nitz' task force, the tribal police, coming out with two .45 pistols and blood all over his body, only to be shot down in the back by Dino.

That would be beyond awesome.

Dr. Brooklyn wrote:
I don't think anything Aaron has done would be lazy. I want Dash and Carol to live (I'm a sucker for happy endings to star crossed love affairs), but for the most part I think it ony makes sense for the Rez to consume them

I know he won't dissapoint us, I've just had crappy, unsatisfying experiences with the whole "everyone dies" set piece, unless it's Reservoir Dogs, that shit's awesome.

As for Dash and Carol, that's an ending I could very well enjoy, we don't see much happiness in Scalped, so an ending like that is not only refreshing, but well earned by both characters.

It's incredible, despite Dash being an absolute psychopath, you still want him to find peace with himself and with his people, he has gone through a tough, painful path full of anger and violence, that image of him with the NDR shirt somehow instilled a sense of happiness and satisfaction I rarely see in comic books, as it made absolute perfect sense with the character.

Exactly, he's killed people, done drugs, verbally abused his mother and physically abused Carol and yet... I want him to be happy... Jason Aaron is amazing

He is the only guy who approaches The Hulk with the worst kind of angle possible for the character, and yet I can't avoid but think that it will turn out ok, because it's that bald bearded fucker behind it all.

I'm actually tempted to check out his hulk stuff, not because I'm a fan of the character, but just because it's him

I dislike Rulk too much to follow that, but you should be following Jeff Parker, specially his Thunderbolts series, Smutty vouches for it's awesomeness.

Kirkman and Liefeld? my god it could create a black hole!

also, when did liefeld learn to draw? that actually looks like quite a good cover. it doesn't make me want to vomit like his Deadpool corps covers

Yes I do.
Thunderbolts and Uncanny X-Force are the best Marvel books at the moment.
Best DC books are Detective Comics and Batgirl
Best indie book is The Boys

Thunderbolts would be even better if it didn't had to maneuver around Matt "The Hack" Fractions's event.

So, I've now read # 51, and goddamit did I love this issue !

Dr. Brooklyn wrote:
lncoln has begun tearing the rez apart and weeding out the drugs, angering both Rath and Shunka who are not plotting against him.

I am not surprised at all about Shunka, I never thought he was as bad as other people in The Rez, but I never imagined him sticking with Red Crow to the very end.

Dr. Brooklyn wrote:
Karnow admitted to not being in nam and is having a change of heart.

And all with a badass shoot-out, I am amazed at what Guera does with action scenes, Vertigo has a keeper in him.

Dr. Brooklyn wrote:
Dash and Falls Down agree to go hunt down catcher.

Yeah, that wasn't exactly agreeing, more like Falls Down thinking "I better accompany this fucker unless he ends up killing everything in The Rez"

Dr. Brooklyn wrote:
If this issue and #50 would have been combined it would have been the greatest issue of the series, all the stuff i wished would have happened in #50 happened here and Dr. Bis very happy about it

I know you wanted the plot to pick up pace, but #50 absolutely destroyed all other comics that week.

I'm actually enjoying the various fear itself tie-ins (even though I'm not reading the main series), reminds me of how the Marvel universe used to be, PLUS, Thunderbolts pretty much is just a tie-in book for every event, AND, Matt Fraction is no hack.

Maybe not, but his comments on how a writer should handle continuity, plus the awfulness of Fear Itself, plus the lies he blatantly told about tie-ins not being necessary to enjoy the story completely, PLUS how none of his work will ever be at the level of Jason Aaron kinda warrants for him to be called something

Also, best indie book at the moment is called Scalped, The Boys, as it is now, doesn't even touch it.

I liked what he did with #50, and yes it was the best issue that week... I just wanted more plot at that point, not more exposition. Hence my "if combined..." comment, if the two were put together this would be one of the all time great issues that I've read.
