I love bad movies.
But I can recognize they ARE bad.
An' I fuckin' hate it when ANYBODY hipster or not, considers my overall taste in movies is forever shit because I liked a bad movie.
I know good movies, and I hate having to prove it just to save my reputation as being able to recommend good movies.

Just last month I introduced a small army of ignorant teens to Se7en.
Afterwards a few actually THANKED ME.

They look forward to my next recommendation. (Pulp Fiction) 8-)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I agree with the comment on the article that the problem is Hipsters (A sub class I invented, remember) often times just lack perspective, or don't actually know what they're talking about. Instead they make bold claims about certain movies to show how big of movie buffs they are, but they don't actually watch enough movies to have the critical distance to make claims about awesome bad movies. I'm sure if you poll most of these Troll 2 fans names like Ed Wood and Roger Corman won't mean a thing.

If you knew I'd respond like that then you must have known how ridiculous your post was.
So the question then is, why did you post it if you knew how silly it sounded?

I wasn't there.
My buddy Paul came over, invited me to a get together, but I had other plans so he asked me if I had and good creepy movies for everyone to watch.
I don't think he expected to be a GOOD movie at all lol.
The next day, him, leah and Brandon returned the movie and they literally thanked me for introducing them to Se7en.
Then Paul asked if I had another awesome movie for all of us to watch the next time.
I was like...

8-) Totally.

Fight Club might be next, but I was thinking more along the lines of some John Carpenter stuff.

Make them watch Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror, it's like a rap version of Heavy Metal mixed with Snoop Dogg.

It's so bad it's amazing.

I'd even say it's the best worst movie ever made

Ghosts of Mars is clearly his magnum opus.

So am I a hipster for putting Troll 2 at the pinnacle of awesome bad films, and not really caring about the other contenders?
Article makes a fundamental error in saying that people regard it to be "the worst film ever". Of course it's not. I'm sure there's a film out there that's just a static shot of a wall for an hour and a half. But Troll 2 has the right balance between actual artistic intent and sheer ineptitude to be the hilarious awful masterpiece that it is.
It has a great deal of sentimental value for me, so, no sir, I know of your other contenders (pretenders!) but I shan't pay them any attention.
