I was actually talking about the Doug Moench run (I think) where apparently he doesn't have DID, even if the Shadowland issues explicitly said he had four different personalities.

Alright, here's how that breaks down. He doesn't have DID proper. When he first started he had 4 alter egos (Spector, Lockely, Grant, and MK) that he would switch through at will (think Bruce Wayne, MAtches Malone, Batman). As time went by he started to go a bit off his rocker and the pressure just got to him and he started to snap, which resulted in his mind no longing realizing he was at heart Marc Spector, he started to flip between the 4 with no control. In a way it's more a form of schizophrenia, but even then it's not really. It's just a guy who's snapped under the years of killing and living as a vigilante. Did you actually read the Moench run? Isn't it awesome?

I haven't read the Moench run, or any Moon Knight run, but at least it's a decent explanation for what Moon Knight's illness might be, certainly much better than having four perfectly functional and useful alter egos.

And what's wrong with Bendis' run ?

Yeah, at first he was just acting... but then it just became way too much.



Everything except the art. He said in a review he was going to change the character at a fundamental level, then he rewrote MK's origin, job, and made his id's the various avengers Now he thinks he's, say, Wolverine and he puts on fake claws and routinely says the word Bub. He's also thought he's Spidey, Cap, and some others.

Yeah... YOU tell me what's wrong with that

I think he made some webslingers, I know he has fake claws for when he's wolverine, like in an apperance in Daken he was talkin gbaou thow he's ashamed to call Daken his son... and it's just awful

You know, usually I reserve my thoughts on Bendis because I don't think I've read anything by him in recent years, as an outsider I can see that the man absolutely loves The Avengers, and has brought them to a whole other level on Marvel Comics, if somebody asked me what was the premiere team of Marvel a few years ago, I would've said The X-Men, not anymore I can't.

But this shit with Moon Knight ? That is just ludicrous.
