Adam Carolla?

I haven't seen him in much, but he's pretty much just in comedies and on talk shows, right? Doesn't seem like the type of actor to play a superhero.

I was joking, guys. Ross's version just always reminded me of him.

His main claim to fame is this

And no... he should not be Captain Marvel

Really? Beause simply saying "Yes he should he looks the part" is really logical and backed up? Which parts exactly were the cause of the problem? Specifically where didn't I explain my idea well enough? I really want to know

Print out your arguments.

Hang them up on your wall.

Throw a dart.

Bingo.

That actually crossed my mind. But I guess the strike against him will be his age.

How about the guy who plays Shane on The Walking Dead?

Well, Captain Marvel does have one advantage over Superman: No Clark Kent.

Casting Superman is so tremendously difficult because it requires finding someone who can be equally convincing as a scrawny reporter and as a masculine paragon. With Captain Marvel, you only need to focus on the guy with the giant muscles and leave the "unassuming civilian" act to whoever plays Billy Batson.

Exactly, and seeing as how most the movie (I'm sure) would star Batson to try and appeal to the younger generation, much like the original comics. The whole wonder of Captain Marvel is that he is a physical representation of the ole "there's greatness inside every body" and that angle could really be played up and provide for lots of Merch and popularity.

No, give me a specific example. Seeing as how you're such a master debater and so good at arguing your points you should easily be able to give me an exact part that is an example of how bad I am at conveying my points. Go ahead please.

Unlike the extraterrestrial Superman, Captain Marvel is magical, going back to old folklore and mythos of classic times, Greek mythology. The 3,000 year-old wizard Shazam turned young Billy Batson into Captain Marvel with the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury.

sounds cool

never read captain marvel any good

Seriously now? Well, there's the part where you changed your argument from saying you had reason to believe that Hamm wouldn't be good as Batman to saying there's no reason to think he would be bad or good at playing Batman. Then you tried to tout that as some great argument by referring to both our points as moot even though Hamm has two major factors going for him to play the role where-as you couldn't actually come up with anything concrete.

Yeah, he's a pretty cool character. The problem is that a lot of times his titles are just directed at kids.

I only said there's no proof because (I forget who) was asking that as a gotcha question and I admitted that unless we see him in the role we can't know for sure, I still maintain that he wouldn't be good at the role. I can say that and admit that there's no way to know for sure. I'm sure you've fan casted before, you never know for sure but you have people you think would be good and people you think would be bad. I think he would be bad. But one of your major factors is that he looks like Batman... but there are probably over a hundred actors (just in hollywood) who look the part, and I'm sure several of those are good actors... that doesn't mean each one of them is perfect for the role.

So summary: Hamm is a good actor, he fits the very basic outline physically, we have no 100% proof he'd be a good or bad choice... but I feel he'd be a bad choice because when I watch him in stuff I don't see anything that screams Batman to me.
