What little I've seen from this movie does say a lot about the tastes of modern audiences.

Just as well they didn't shoot this in New Zealand. Imagine the confusion!

Just saw it too. Looks abysmal.
Say what you will about the other Snow White film - at least it recognises the story's inherent silliness rather than turning it into a preposterously overblown Lord of the Rings imitation.

While not as negative, I do remain rather unimpressed with the second trailer; though, considering that so many people believed that this would be utter shit, the fact that it merely looks mediocre is a feat...I guess.

Also, I'm sensing some serious Last Airbender vibes with how hard these trailers have been trying to hide any example of Stewart's performance.

can you elaborate please

because i really cant see how this looks mediocre or abysmal i know people have their opinions but i think this looks phenomenal

the visual imagery looks jaw dropping i get a very Guillermo Del Toro vibe just very beautiful looking

the set designs and the costumes look great

the battle scene looks great aswell from hand to hand to horse and sword battle

the dwarves look awesome with great actors like - toby jones, ian mcshane, bob hoskins, nick frost, etc.

charlize looks like she is having a ball with her villainy as the evil queen
hemsworth look exceptionally bad ass as the huntman
and even Kristen looks just fine as snow white and her British accent seems solid aswell

it is taking an old fairy tale and spinning it with bring some originality of the tale with its lord of the rings like spin that should get adults intrigued aswell as young boys and girls

At the very least, can we all agree that this latest trailer is an improvement over the first one?

As AYB has suggested, "Snow White" is certainly encroaching on LoTR territory, and lacks the scal toe back it up. That's not to say there isn't some nice imagery to be seen from the trailer, but if you're going to ape Tolkein, you should go all the way.

Now, in regards to K-stew: I don't hate her as much as other people seem to--she has annoying tendencies, but nothing about her is god-awful. With that said, I'm less than impressed with what I've seen of her thus far. This should be the movie that changes the public perception of Stewart, a complete role-reversal from the more passive Bella from Twilight. Instead, the trailer hides her behind Hemsorth and Theron (who seems to be the only one who realizes how ridiculous this film is, and may be the reason why I bother to watch it), mainly because I don't think she can sell a movie like this.

Maybe I'm wrong, and this turns out to be the "Red Steel" of this summer--but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Red Steel, the Wii game?

I think the mo9vie is trying top be LOTR, but to me looks more like it's going to be more like the Narnia movies n tone, and I'm pretty sure the Narnia books pre-date the LOTR books by a couple of years (correct me if I'm wrong though)

I gotta say, I love the visuals in the trailer, things like the way the queens knights shatter, it's clearly a way to keep the movie PG 13 but it's very cool.

Sigh, I meant Real Steel.

I had a feeling you did.

I think it's a shame that "K-Stew" (:D) didn't reverse her public perception after The Runaways, that's a movie that really shows she can act and not be fucking Bella forever.

I've never kinda hated "K-Stew" either before, she's not a bad actress, even though I think she's a bit of a.........she-asshole ? I've read a couple of times about her contempt towards the Twilight Saga, which sounds kinda hypocritical, from where I'm standing.

I know, money, still, it comes off wrong to me, and I'm certainly not a Twilight fan.

It's well-documented that both Patterson and Stewart absolutely loath Twilight and its fanbase.

Jeez, am I the only one who feels there's something really wrong with that ?
