Really? It's farfetched for Loki, the god of decpetion, to deceive people?

Thank you for clarifying that he was saying the theory was farfetched. Ugh nerds and your nerdisms!

it's possible, I mean it happened in Ultimates 2 basically, in which Loki was the villain.

And therein lies the absurdity, let's put it this way:

Ordnance shot from a military tank = Does not damage The Hulk.

Punch from Captain America = Damages The Hulk.

And now I expect your rationalization on this.

That being said, if it is not Mjolnir, just a copy, it's just a normal hammer wielded by essentially a phantom. I know you don't want to admit it but Captain America is at the peak of what a human can be and still be human, he's fucked up Giant Man and has fought Hulk, out dueled Iron Man and Spider-Man, to name just a few... I think he could stand a blow from a phantom

Well I didn't have to wait long now did I  ?

Let's not dwelve too much on this theory, it's a good one, but we are grabbing at straws on something that very well might not happen.

No it was just your wording, if I walked upto him, I could punch the hulk... it wouldn't do a thing, but I could punch the hulk.

I think you mean dwell. And I agree, I'm just putting out a theory.

You're avoiding the issue, Captain America HAS damaged The Hulk, by punching him.

Which is annoying, because the character has a "Get Out Of Suspension Of Disbelief Jail Free" card with the entire deal of the supersoldier formula, and nobody questions it because --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhnUgAaea4M

Does that youtube video finish with the words '..nobody questions it because it's a comic-book hero-fantasy in which the suspension of disbelief is key to extracting full enjoyment'?

Makes sense, then.

Good justification...

...for the 1940's.

The scientific 'reality' in comics today is the most far-fetched it ever has been. Where a simple far-fetched premise sufficed in the 1940's, now writers generate an elaborate wedge of pop-sci hoo-hah which fluffs up the text. But behind it, the same far-fetched premise.

That's why it's fun. Realistic humanity thrown into impossibilities, to see how it fares.

There's a difference between pulling strings at the science-fiction foundations and sodomizing the most basic notions of physics.

I get it, Captain America is "at the peak of human efficiency".

That doesn't mean I'm not going to roll my eyes and look at my fucking brain when I read adventures of him punching and knocking-out cold a creature whose skin is impenetrable to all modern military weapons, it makes the comic I'm reading look stupid.

That's Cap'n America for you! I understand completely. This is why I don't read a lot of comics anymore. I laugh when I'm not supposed to be finding shit funny.

Thank you, unfortunately I do have to put up with this shit, from fans and creators alike.

*Considers dumping comics*

Nope, not gonna happen.

Bump.

I just wanted to say that I got to see the most recent trailer in 3D IMAX. And until you've done the same, you haven't really seen the trailer.

TOTALLY FUCKING SWEET.

So based on certain extrapolation, would you actually recommend seeing the movie in 3D at this point?

Because I've been avoiding that like the plague.

I don't know about the movie. I only know that seeing the trailer in 3D was fucking awesome.

I saw the Captain America trailer in 3D, but I saw the movie in 2D.

The Avengers however, I will go see in 3D.
