Did you guys all have chronic labia pain when I said atlantean? No? Yet I got told that I needed to curtail any plans to try and retcon the movie. I've abandoned the Atlantean option, yet it seems like no amount of evidence will convince people that skrulls aren't in this movie.

These reactions are all way out of line.

Feige said it won't be Skrulls. Whedon said it won't be Skrulls. Those toy photos are clearly not Skrulls. So let's move on to the next theory.

Personally, I think it looks more and more likely that this is going to be some new creation.

Don't play the victim act, you were politely suggested, by Curi and no one else, to tone it down a little bit, period.

Also, who the fuck here is still saying the skrulls are in the movie ?

only semi Avengers related, but there is a rumour going around that Iron Man 3 will be about nanobots. so speculation is that it will bring in the Extremis suit, and possibly have Mandarin with nanobot powered "magic"

Sounds dumb, what is the problem with having an evil chinese guy with 10 different rings kicking the living shit out of Iron Man while making ludite anti-technology comments on western civilization ?

probably because the MCU is going with this "magic is just sufficiently advanced technology" thing, you can't have Thor saying that Magic is just another kind of technology, and then have an actual magic character.

who's to say the Mandarin couldn't believe that his "magic rings" are magic, and the Tony finds out they are actually nanite powered?

I think it's jerking off at a pointless concept, plenty of the technology in the MU is already far-fetched, who gives a royal fuck if the characters just go through the conventional route instead of pretending this is another novel by Arthur C. Clarke ?

well the nanite thing is just a rumour and then the mandarin thing is just completely baseless speculation, so, don't get your panties in a twist feli :D nor you Smutty

anyway AMC theatres doing a MCU marathon day on May 3rd, culminating in a midnight showing of The Avengers for $40

he didn't say that, he said where he's from magic and science are the same thing, totally different from saying Magic and Tech are the same thing. Magic is kind of big in Thor, even just down to Mjolnir not being able to be lifted by someone who isn't worthy.

Semantics, in the eyes of the people behind Thor, science equates with technology.

Well, technolgoy is a form of science, but not all science is technology.

Uuuuhhh, technology is not a form of science, technology is the compendium of techniques, methods and products that derive from the findings of scientific knowledge.
