Whatever, I still hate that the Brits get these films a week before we do. That's why every time an Iron Man movie comes out, 1) I watch it online 2) I go see it the next day during its opening weekend.

that was more like the element being triangular to justify the chest-piece being triangular though, rather than a real reason :|

How come there aren't people crying about Maria Hill being white in this?

I thought we'd concluded that her race was kind of ambiguous anyway.

I think the confusion came mostly from the ignorant, racist notion that a woman named "Maria" couldn't possibly be a white person.

just came across this on wikipedia. Guess she's the new Agent Coulson.

"Smulders' deal would integrate her into nine films"

How many more MFUC are they planning? I mean, we've got Iron Man 3, Cap 2 and Thor 2, but isn't that supposed to be it?

my guess is:
IM3
Cap2
Thor2
Avengers1 (included)
Avengers2
Nick Fury/SHIELD film
and probably options on any possible Hulk/Hawkeye/Black Widow films they may or may not decide to make.

(Note: If she appeared in each of those last 3, that would make 9)

Let's not forget the other franchises that Marvel might start in the next few years. I find it entirely possible that they might roll out, say, an Ant-Man movie and bring him into the fold with the next Avengers film.

Aren't people going to become burnt out on these characters and movies?

You could say the same for any cinematic franchise, but that never stopped the studios from milking every cash cow for all it's worth.

True, but I find that's especially true with these movies. Even Christian Bale is only in three Batman movies, but here we have someone like Downey in three Iron Man movies, plus two Avengers movies and whatever little cameos he might have as well. I just think people are going to get sick of these characters.

I agree, and I know that I'm becoming burnt out on superhero films in general. But I get the sense Marvel/Disney is aware of this, and that that knowledge contributes to their excitement about getting these films in production and releasing them as soon as they can.

Plus, in regard to the Avengers, as long as this film is good I am pretty confident that even if only one or two Marvel films were released every year or so, they would still continue the Avengers as a separate franchise that would probably succeed well... probably as long as Marvel decides to keep making them. People may not want to pay to see a Hulk movie, but they'll probably pay out the ass to see a bunch of their faves get together.

Speaking of, what's really good with Teen Titans?

Dude, no. Don't even bother thinking that DC/WB is anywhere near competent enough to handle anything on this scale.

...Unless you were asking in terms of comics. In that case, I'm sure there's a thread around here somewhere for it.

Yeah, I don't think it's every really been established what ethnicity she is.

If the By Line is Wolfman and Perez... it's good. Discussion finished.

SLJ is contracted for nine films, so let's tally them up

Iron Man
Iron Man 2
Thor
Captain America
The Avengers
Thor 2
Captain America 2
Iron Man 3
?? Thor/Cap 3?
