Among my favorites at least !

"Check on those fuckin' properties!". You don't fuck with Lester Freemon.

Are you almost done season 3?

Episode 9 by now, and shit is getting real yo ! Stringer admitting to D'Angelo's murder ?

Clay Davis Mode ON

HOLEE SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET !

Clay Davis Mode OFF

I can clearly see what you were getting at now that I see Stringer Bell trying to navigate the "legitimacy" waters, it's truly a place where he stands out like such a sore thumb and an easy target for manipulation, never would've imagined seen HIM in such a weakened position, and with so much disagreements with Avon, you can see Marlo is not going to have a lot of trouble taking over the west side !

Are you about to watch episode 9, or have you already watched it, because something big happens in that episode that we could talk about.

Also, what do you think of the Hammesterdamn storyline?

Yes, yes I watched it.

And I must say, Roland Pryzbylewski is the unluckiest cop in fiction, jesus christ, guy can't take two steps out into the field because some horrible shit has to happen !

Am I missing some subtle joke or you just have issues writing Hamsterdam  ?

Awesome storyline in my opinion, not exactly sure if what Major Colvin was doing was legalizing drugs, since the point of such an initiative would actually be "de-criminalization", still, the term applies to some extent.

In any case, I think the Hamsterdam storyline brought a lot of interesting moments for plenty of characters, such as Carver, Bubbles, Johnny Weeks, Reverend Reeves. Still, what seemed most interesting to me was the difficulty to (mine at least) gauge Colvin's motivations, were his concerns legitimate and he thought this was a proper solution ? Or was he just trying to avoid Rawls' and Burrell's wrath ? I guess one could say it was a mix of both, as it so happens with almost every police officer on the show !

Also, the state in which Hamsterdam is that it can even make Bubbles to flinch in fear and disgust pretty much tells you just how fucked up it all was, for example, that moment with the skinny deadbeat junkie trying to sell.........something......to Bubbles ? Creepy shit man, creepy shit !

The latter. I looked back at my post and I don't know why I didn't notice how poorly misspelled it was. Maybe because firefox underlines misspelled words, and since the word isn't a real word?

Yeah, but he will redeem himself. He's just not cut out for police work.

It was like some Dante's Inferno type shit.

Changing gears a bit, there's a funny video on youtube where the cast discuss what parts they originally auditioned for. Apparently the actor who plays Carver tried out for Stringer Bell. They then cut to a reaction shot of Dominic West who laughs and says "Oh God, he would have been terrible as Stringer Bell!" :) . It's always interesting hearing who auditioned for what roles.

Also, if you haven't seen these before, here are some vignettes that were filmed for the DVDs.

Young Omar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RkcjjY_a0Y

Young Prop Joe:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9eVsUgKczE

The first meeting of McNulty and Bunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uzbmCWGHF8

Right here --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRNm21GW ... re=related

I must say, was Alexa Fogel on drugs when she cast everyone  ?

Daniels as Bunk ? Daniels as Bubbles ? Davis as Freamon ?!!

CARVER AS STRINGER BELL ??!!!

We dodged a bullet with that last one

Also, I love the guy who plays Slim, I mean, there's just something about the way he talks, about his overall demeanor, nobody in this world could ever be as laid-back as that guy.

Young Omar was great, but would someone with a childhood scar really keep it all the way to adulthood ? Wouldn't it......fade away or something ?

Prop Joe was cool, but it's kinda unreal for a kid that little to go around.........propositioning people

McNulty and Bunk ? --> :D

When I was two or three I feel down the stairs and cut my hand on the edge of a mirror. I required stitches (forgot how many). The scar is still visible.

The second one could have worked, he's done that sort of work before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXBDUwn5Tmw

I accidentally stabbed myself in the knee with a pen at age 5.
Still got the scar.

Don't worry.

talking of long-lived scars, my uncle ran through a French window when he was seven and he still has a massive scar on his face, and he's in his late 40s.

Like a Dead Leaves-Lite, FLCL is chock full of mischief, mayhem, robots and murder.
It also manages to be a coming-of-age angsty teen drama.
Loved it.

"Fly"- Breaking Bad (S3E10)

Honestly one of the best episodes of BB I've seen thus far and easily one of the best episodes I've seen of anything. For a show all about how it laces its subplots into the major ones, it was overwhelmingly refreshing to stick to one set of characters for an entire episode and to see such a simple plot device (a fly getting into the meth lab) that would naturally spring about alot of development and discussion. This is one of the few shows (besides Game of Thrones) that I can genuinely say gets better with each passing episode.

I know there's a Breaking Bad thread I probably should've posted this in but I'm afraid I might accidentally stumble upon a whole heap of spoilers.

Most likely, still, give us a visit once you're up to date, you have no idea how AWESOME that topic was when the fourth season was on, and it was barely me, t3cii and Lil'Bernie.

Definitely one of my favorite anime. It's like it takes an epic space anime and tells it from the viewpoint of an adolescent boy.

I forgot, did you watch Paranoia Agent? That's another anime that masters its material while also being very short and compact.

Smutty said I'd love it too, but I'm a little turned off that the constant nudity in it keeps turning me on.

It's like I'm trying to concentrate on story and then there are breasts everywhere. Story of my life, amirite?

It's true though, there's one famous scene where one of the characters pretty much describes himself, his schemes, his plans in perfect detail....................while right next to him are a couple of prostitutes fingering themselves into Andromeda !

Instead of berating you for not seeing a monumentally awesome show I'll actually explain what it is (unlike some other internet chums ;) ). It's Tyrion Lannister, one of the leading characters in Game of Thrones as played by Emmy-winning actor Peter Dinklage.
