If this is the PG-13 cut, then I can't imagine what the R-rated cut must have been like. This was a powerful fucking movie that really succeeded at getting a rise out of me. The film on its own is worth a watch, but the message it presents is far more important.

End intolerance now.

Is it true that no real bully is interviewed ?

I don't even know what to say. Not a classic by any stretch, but a really entertaining, fast paced film with decent acting, sex scenes, and enough breasts, vagina, and even penis to satisfy me. It's basically exactly what I needed to see tonight.

7/10 based on entertainment level.

Way to go, Ziller.

Is it true that no real bully is interviewed ?

They do interview a reformed bully, a teenager who discovered at around grade four that what he was doing was really hurtful.

They also show a segment where an assistant principal confronts a few kids about their bullying ways. What's interesting about that segment is that the kids don't really seem to recognize that they're doing anything wrong.

Aside from those, yeah, they don't interview any practicing bullies. They just let the results and the actions speak for themselves.

5/10

Got very interested in this movie, and got very dissapointed by it.

It's a clear example of a movie that has no idea what it wants to be, it tries to be a detective movie, and it fails, it wants to be a political movie, and it fails, it wants to be a romantic movie, and it fails. Only thing going for it ? Both actors are good, a little sketchy at times (the chick doesn't know how to cry), but they have chemistry.

What fucks me up about this movie is the bits of racism it has, some are clear as day, others are slightly ambiguous.

"Those sadistic asians, every time they invent something more disgusting".

What the fuck ?

Sorry can't seem to get a good image. Original title was just X, but I think they altered it to X: Night of Vengeance.

Also, I hated public enemies. Boring, boring, johnny depp vehicles gets 6/10 from me.

Talking of which, i'm watching The Tourist at the moment.

Also, I watched the Addams Family yesterday, love it.

That was crazy awesome.

I want to say maybe it went over their heads, but that feels condescending.
.

But I think that's actually the case. If you're familiar with the tropes and cliches of horror films, The Cabin in the Woods should be totally up your alley.

Saw it yesterday and I thought it was pretty fucking awesome. Its one failing is that it stops being scaring as the film moves along, but it's so fantastically interesting and hilarious (I feel so much better about The Avengers after watching this), that it doesn't really matter that it stops being an effective horror film.

It's great that mainstream films can still be this deliciously weird.

I called the ending if the tourist 5 minutes into the film. But I decided that it was so ludicrous, so preposterous, and so cliche, that they would never go with that.

When I turned out to be right I literally laughed in dismay for 30 minutes straight.

Yeah, it was pretty obvious and ludicrous, that twist worked better in Cypher.

Serendipity - 5/10

Halfway through, I think I got it.
For action fans, theres the good stuff like The Bourne Identity.
Then theres the mindless dreck like Rambo: First Blood Pt.II.

For women and their romance movies,
flicks like Serendipity must be in the same mindless dreck catagory to them as First Blood Pt.II is to the guys and their action flicks.

Its escapist fantasy. Only you have to want to be in that fantasy.
This particular absurd movie held little appeal to me personally.
It was fun because I was with her, but I'm incredibly thankful that she didn't ask me to watch Twilight with her instead.

Edit:
The supporting cast actually has some funny moments.
But the movie overall is undeserving of its own good wit.

I bet it's better than Simply Irresistible. As much as I love me some SMG, that has to be hands down one of the most mediocre romcoms I've ever seen.

So I just got an offer from my friend to see an employee's screening of The Avengers, which will be a few days before the US release...

I wish it was before the UK release, that way I could see it before Avatar :D

That clicked as Sarah Michelle Gellar before it clicked as Sub Machine Gun.
Context? Or have I been sissified? O_O
