So two hips-uh, So two people are having a discussion on facebook feed about the Avengers.

Person 1: "anyone got a cool superhero tee i could borrow? Or know a place where I can get on by this Friday. Want to represent when I see The Avengers. So excited!!!!!! :D"

Person 2: "i have a hand-made superman cut-out shirt..but it kinda looks like shit now. So nevermind. lol"

Needs shirt for Avengers? Suggests Superman?

Facepalm factor 10, Mr. Data.

To be fair, though, the general sentiment is there. Superman's a superhero who does some swash-buckling day-saving in a jam and that's what this movie's all about. I think it'd be an appropriate enough shirt.

Yeah, just because the shirt looked bad...

No, it's like wearing a Chicago Bulls Jersey to a Detroit Tigers game.

I guess, but I don't think it's as inappropriate as one would first assume.

You can love DC and Marvel, you know.

I think I did know that... let me just check wikipedia to be sure...

*one wikipedia check later*

Good lord, you can like both! I also like the Colorado Avalanche and the Miami Dolphins, but I'd never wear a Avalanche shirt to watch a Dolhpins game. Much like I won't wear a Marvel shirt to TDKRises

I just think that The Avengers is pretty much going to be the crown jewel of the superhero film sub-genre and it seems sensible to celebrate that by wearing whatever superhero gear you feel like.

Feliciano's gone insane.

I'd be sadder if it hadn't seemed so inevitable.

I think that facebook chat would've been a lot more interesting if I had been there

Deal with it people, Nolan's Batman is in the superhero genre.

So is Batman Forever, but that doesn't make it good.

The best thing about wearing glasses is taking them off dramatically and saying "What!?".

This made me laugh like... I pictured it in my head.
I pictured MAL doing it.

Well, you said that Nolan's Batman is in the superhero genre, correct? My retort was that there are lots of movies in the superhero genre, but that doesn't mean they are good. I personally think The Dark Knight was (and to an extent still is) highly over rated

Actually, that...........................still has nothing to do with what I said

I mean, The Avengers could easily be better than The Dark Knight Rises. That doesn't mean the latter isn't a superhero movie.

Is Kick-Ass not a superhero comic because it's about a teenager trying to be a superhero ?
