It already has Pelletier, the most underrated penciller in comics right now.

It is good, but as someone too far down to stop I have to say, don't worry about most of the tie ins. f you are familiar with Darkhawk you can skip his two part mini altogether, it is basically just a way to introduce new readers to the character. Also, the first couple Guardians of th egalaxy "tie in" issues really don't tie in, they get better later, but at first they just carry the banner (and one of the alleged tie in issues doesn't even HAVE the banner on it...). that being said, I love comics so Im not upset about reading more than I have to for th estory to make sense. I'm about 5 months of release into the story (it was nearly a year long deal) but I'm really liking how massive the event is, really ties in everything from the Shi'ar to the Kree to Earth itself.

But oyu want to know the best part? It's a marvel crossover right? Major crossover event, some serious A-Listers from the cosmic end of the MU are present, right? No Wolverine, No Deadpool, no Spider-Man. I am so gflad to read these comics without any of those guys poppin gup just in a vain attempt to sell more books. I don't dslike Deadpool, Wolverine, and Spider-Man... they are just everywhere.

Pretty much, I love that I can't recognize ANYONE in that book, while also being something by the Abnett / Lanning combo, and to top it all off, Pelletier !

I was familiar with the names for many of the characetrs on the cover of #1 (Black Bolt, Gladiator, Crystal, Lilandra and Darkhawk) but the itnerior story is full of characetrs that have never really left the cosmic tales other than some run ins with The Avengers and the FF, but they are not A listers outside of deep space.

Also, is it just me, or would Darkhawk have been an awesome 90's Marvel movie?
Something Nostalgia worthy like Guyver 2 or something.
But obviously without the power ranger baddies... >_>

It is pretty long and slow, but I thought it was still a good read, although it probably should have come before The Wastelands.

A saw some of the movie adaptation on television late one night, but never saw the rest of it. Saw this in the library and decided to give it a go. Pretty enjoyable.

Also, I just started Annihilation (2006), I've read the Drax Mini and the One-Shot prologue and have most of the minis dl'ed and ready to read. From what I've read of it so far.... I'm going to really enjoy it.
