That was astonishing.

Was that your first time reading it?

Hello, I'm Godziller, and I'm being oddly defensive.

Fixed.

He was getting me for flaunting the fact that I'd read The Infinity Gauntlet before him a page or two ago.

SO SHUT THE FUCK UP, DONNY!

I actually haven't read Extremis.

But then again I'm not a king of comics.

Took that out of the library a few days ago. Tried reading it but gave up. The whole story within a story within a story put me off. I just can't be bothered with it, or getting back into King's Dark Tower language. Not really sure why it needs to be a Dark Tower book, either, since the Ka Tet are barely in this. Disappointing, as I was looking forward to reading it.

Yeah, it wasn't that great, and it was pretty slow, and it didn't really have much of a point, but..umm..where was I going with this? Oh, yeah, I enjoyed it all in all.

I finished Annihilation last night... holy shit it was good. To be honest, it was Space Opera at its finest, I highly recommend it to any and all comics fans.

Finished reading Neal Adams run of Deadman, for a classic is is amazing especially when you compare it to everything else that was coming out around the same time. I am about to read Grant Morrison's Animal Man again which is one of my favorites runs of all time.

What was your opinion on the sequel? Annihilation Conquest? I myself thoroughly enjoyed Annihilation, Conquest seemed a bit rushed (which is marvel for ya milking anything till it is dead.)

I am actually going to start Conquest sometime this week*... so I'll hold off on any opinion. I will say, though, that I trust Abnett and Lanning because everything I've read by them has been astounding.

*I'm going to start with the lead ins and work to the main series

A little birdie told me they butchered the New Mutants, but I haven't actually read their run yet myself.

Yeah, he's told me that as well... several times, but if their only flaw was ruining a (let's be honest) C-List squad, I think things like Nova, War of Kings, and Guardians of the Galaxy more than out weigh that.

Yeah, this is the shit Marvel causes, everything not named "Avengers" or "X-Men" is automatically "low grade-list" :|

No...

Fantastic Four, Defenders, and Invaders just to name a few. There are several teams that aren't low grade and also aren't Avengers or X-Men

No Brooky, there are not

Apart from the Fantastic Four, the other examples actually strengthen my point, only hardcore fans know who the hell The Invaders and Defenders are, if it wasn't for Matt Fraction, the latter would still be floating around comic book limbo.

Now, I haven't read any New Mutants whatsoever, but from what I've heard, it's a pretty important piece of X-Men mythos, with some pretty important creative teams working on it, I wouldn't call it C-List by any stretch of the imagination.

Okay, let's be totally honest here... if anyone else had called them c-list this wouldn't even be a discussion right now. there have been mportant creative teams on a lot of Marvel's team books... but that doesn't make them A-List, kind of like how the birds of prey are a C-List team despite having some great talent on them.
