Some of these shots make me think those rumors of Batman and Bane's first fight might have been true.

Same here. Also, I'm starting to think that maybe Bruce goes back to Bhutan to train...although maybe he's just in prison. Anyway, I keep loving how this looks. It's giving me a greater "Batman" vibe than any of the other two films have, I can't really put my finger on why.

It's apparently supposed to be an "EMP" weapon. So, I guess it would take out electronic equipment.



The second spot just further makes me think this. For anyone wondering what I'm talking about, there was a rumor of footage that was seen that was originally supposed to be used as the prologue. Looking at the trailers and photos that have been released, I can see some of the descriptions being acted out. Basically the footage was to begin with Batman being chased by the police, presumably right after the events of The Dark Knight. While driving towards the bat cave, Batman manages to shake the police, and is driving through a tunnel that has been blocked off by a truck. Batman hits the truck, and falls off the Batpod. Bane and his henchmen are then revealed to have been inside the truck, and Batman and Bane fight in some sort of facility, with Batman taking out one of the lights, so he can escape.

I'm not sure how it would fit chronologically, though. I don't think it would happen right after TDK given the movie opens with the plane hijacking and Gordon giving Dent's euology. But I'd like to see that fight since Batman has the disadvantage of being wounded. Bane is going to make him guano.

The more I see of this, the more excited I get. It seems like everyone is truly in their A game here. From Nolan to Pfister to Bale, etc. I am loving Hathaway's Selina Kyle. June will probably be hell for me, but I'm glad I have something as great looking as this to look forward after that month and the goddamn mexican elections end!

Also, I think that after rewatching the spots a while I can pin on why it looks more like "Batman should" in my head: There's a lot of black in the production design. BB's palette was more in the browns and TDK was more in the blues. I believe this was intentional since the opening Bat logos help establish this as well. And sure, the usual natural Pfister/Nolan palette is on display here, but there seems to be a lot of darkness in terms of lighting and in terms of color as well.

if the bat on his chest was red, I'd agree with you, I'm guessing Azrael though, although it may just be a toy inspired by the movie, like Kenner Aliens.

I'm guessing it's Batman. It's pretty typical to have some alternate Batman (Under Water Batman! Arctic Batman!) costumed toy.

yeah that's a major possibility, but Toys are nearly always the way secrets from movies are revealed these days, TASM's Lizard for example.

The facility you mention, I think THAT is the new bat-cave. Bane will fight him there, just as he did in Knightfall.
While this scene seems plausible, I don't think it will be placed as the prologue. I'll bet, if that scene is included, to be somewhere in the middle of the first act, and not to be linked with TDK's ending.

Obviously it's not meant to be the prologue since we've already seen the prologue. What I meant was, the rumor came from someone that described the footage as the prologue.



Well, we see Batman being chased by the police on his batpod. That could be the next scene after he rides away from Gordon at the end of TDK. Plus, we know Bane will defeat Batman at some point due to the shot of the broken mask being tossed aside. So obviously that fight won't be the finale.
