So, what did you think of the end of season 3? In particular, the end of Avon and Stringer? Season 3 is my favorite of the series, and I loved the final few episodes. Omar and Brother Mouzone (spelling?) have a wild west like standoff, and prompted me to use it as my signature.
Brilliant season overall, nothing about the show has made me back down in any moment from it, as I said, I probably stumbled a little bit at the final episodes of season 1 since the political, bureaucratic aspects of the show started to see the light and it caught me off guard a little bit, it's the only time I've felt the show confused me a bit.
Even season 2, which seems to be the least liked, was pretty awesome to me, sure, it probably wasn't the best move to shift the focus from "badass gangstas" to "fat-ass white dock workers", but it was still great in my opinion.
Season 3 just takes everything to even greater heights while having shenanigans with the Barksdale Crew and Marlo's rising crew, it has by far the best scenes with Omar ! If you didn't love that guy before, you sure as shit were destined to root for him in this season, that scene with Mouzone ? HELL YEAH !
Also, R.I.P. Stringer Bell, I'm betting Idris Elba will be forever grateful of the character that MADE his career

These kids are gonna break your heart. It's a bold move introducing us to such young characters, but this season has the most heart out of any season of the series, and a lot of it is thanks to those four boys.
I already feel bad about Dukie.......................he's gonna die right ?

Also bold? McNulty is barely in this season. Seriously, no spoilers, but don't expect a lot of face time from him.
I expected this, I saw an article that mentioned his absence was due to the actor making a lot of movie commitments during the filming of season four, it's............okay, at least his character is in the right place, unlike most shows with characters that are shit people who "never change", they've actually done the opposite with McNulty, and it frikkin worked ! He is aware of how poisonous D.T. life is for him, and so he has made a decision that has actually benefited his life.
Also, he got the hot redhead, HELL TO THE YES.

The Barksdales are done, long live King Marlo and his Stanfield regime!
Okay, basically Marlo won the war. If I recall correctly, guys like Bodie and Poot are up for grabs since they no longer technically work for Avon. The world of these crews is one of revolving membership, after all. It should be more clear after the next two or three episodes. But for now, the Stanfields have taken over the Barksdales territory, and will be the primary crew the detail deals with. So, anyone can either join, or "step off".
What about Avon ? Back in jail completing his sentence I assume.
If I was him, I wouldn't want to go back after all the shit that went down in season 3

!
