Well, I tried to be nice the first time he nagged me about it, but he just keeps coming back for more. I'll try to put the links going back to the artist under the picture the next time I post a piece of art if I remember. I'll try, but I also reserve the right not to give a damn. This is the internet and people post each other's work all the time without giving credit to the original source. As long as you're not claiming it as your own, it's really not a big deal and if someone wanted to, they could head on over to google and easily find the artist themselves.

My Two cents...

The Nite Owl cover is drawn perfectly. Technically, the best cover to date. However, I wish they weren't on the Owlship. It's too much like when he was with Laurie. Would have been better if he was doing her on a dumpster in an alley. That would be what I would expect from someone who gets Watchmen and wasn't trying to repackage what we already have seen.

The Ozymandias cover with Comedian on it (I don't know why) is another in the line of "so what" covers. I'll keep saying this, but these covers need fucking soul. Lot's of fucking soul. I want to see depth. I want them to drip of reality and pain. I don't want Punisher, Superman or any other cliched shit.

Rude. This is such a small matter that it really shouldn't be a flamewar. Reposting fanart without credit is bad behavior. Simple as that. So stop.

Also on the subject of authorship, I want to point out that in the previous thread the image you copy pasted was preceded by the following quote: "I've got an idea" Now doesn't that seem to imply something? Why yes, it does. And never mind that fact that this image was used to improve the overall content of a thread you created. Sounds like the creator was really doing you a favor.

This isn't a flamewar, it's a simple argument. Don't try to imply I'm being childish and unreasonable by using terms straight out of 4chan.

Apparently I did PM you! Here's what I wrote:
"Um so I don't mean to be harsh about this but hear me out. You can just make the image itself a link to the source. So space and brevity is not a factor. Neither is getting sued, obviously, because this is fanart. So yeah. I'm sure if you ever create something you were proud of you'd want people to source. Please give it more consideration."

I PMed you once. And I was polite. And you're getting incredibly defensive and being a prick about this whole issue. "You're never going to make me do something I have the right not to do and decide not to." That's some bad logic right there. Obviously you have the right to repost fanart without links. That doesn't mean it isn't wrong, and when someone does something wrong I have "the right" to point it out to them. Now if you don't have any particularly disarming response to that, let's just continue with the thread and you'll think twice next time. And sorry that this got in the way of legitimate posting, if I went back, knowing what I know now, I would have done this over PM.
