Hey guys, I like the color and set up of the forum but I do have 1 request: the "First unread post" option.

I know it's not always easy getting mods on the forum but, I think everyone would appreciate this feature. The board I use that get's posts into the thousands per thread has this and makes it a breeze to keep up every day. We're getting some threads into 40-70 posts and it'd be easier to access our start point (and save bandwidth) with this

I tried finding a mod that would work but didn't find it. So i've requested help on the phpbb forums because this is something i'd like to run on my forums as well.

Not really. Let me see if i can insert some screen shots from this forum that uses it.

In the first post you can see in the middle left area of the screen "View First Unread." When you click on that, it'll take you to the first unread post. In this case, it takes you to current post.

The current post is post #359 on page 9 (for me). usually it's 10 posts per page. but i have my options set up differently for 30 posts per page.

This way i don't have to go through the last few pages to find the last post I made, and search for new ones. It's REALLY handy to have.

One of the threads we had before was into the thousands of posts... so you can imagine that's not too fun to go through lol. And it was hundreds of posts a day, that thread was a new thread for a new update!

Nope, they are from vbulletin. But with the mods we can make in phpbb, i'm sure it's possible. The way these guys have their forum set up, they can handle a little html

Apparently, that little box/flag deal takes you to the first unread post hahahaha

Maybe we can add it to the first post of each thread? That is SO handy. Keeping both is good but, no complaints from me.
